  1. To me, this looks like an expansion pack for the Tunnel era rather than a new era. Tunnel brought her back to the spotlight, critics love her, the public loves her and she’s being recognised as true American songwriter icon. now she is free to drop something casual but ultimately very Lana and I’m sure she’ll get praise for that in the context of Tunnel. If she had dropped this after Chemtrails, most people probably wouldn’t have paid attention to it.
  2. Girl same.. I hate how when she comes to Europe she always goes to the rich Paris, London, Amsterdam and Warsaw instead of supporting rural Bulgaria where we really need her jk of course, I wish you and your state all the best! 🩶 Reading the history of the song, there’s quite a good explanation for the WV reference and I also don’t think anyone is fetishising your state. Xx
  3. I really want her to release American standards and classics after hearing this. It’s insane how much these types of songs suit her. Elvis would’ve been so proud
  4. I am afraid that by the time next summer comes she might have forgotten she has shows to do…
  5. LDR albums as spices/herbs AKA: paprika BTD: lemongrass Paradise: Vanilla UV: black pepper HM: Basil LFL: Garam Masala NFR!: Cinnamon COTCC: Nutmeg BB: Anise DYKTTATUOB: Thyme Hah I just saw you did the same. Quite random we both put BB as anise lol
  6. I agree with that fully. Violence breeds more violence and the situation should have been handled much more responsibly by Israel for example by immediately involving an international humanitarian coalition that ensures the safety of civilians - humanitarian centres and corridors etc. on Hamas - I wouldn’t go off by the charter. There are plenty of examples when governments cite their constitutions as gospel and rarely follow them (look at russia).
  7. Girl why don’t you fuck right off lol also, I am not insecure about palestinian support. Why the hell would I be? I actually quite like to see active civil society regardless of what the issue is. however, th things that I don’t like is inflammatory ultranationalism and I’m seeing more and more from both sides which is disgusting to me. Pan-arabism and pan-islamism are cancer just the same way as genocidal islamophobia.
  8. My apologies. I was simply taken aback by some of things on here but now I’ve taken a breath and let’s discuss. @barttttender writes the following: But, yes, Israelis (not the Jews as in religion, but Israelis, as in terrorists) should definitely 100% leave the Middle East asap. If there was any justitice, there would already be forced too. I would like to remind people like them who may have missed this, but about half of Israel’s population is made up of Middle Eastern jews who are native to the region and have lived there for thousands of years. Interestingly, this is also a Hamas position but somehow I saw no one really reacting (although people strongly said that no one supports hamas in this thread). @Noam made a wide variety of outlandish and abhorrent statements too but I don’t think they’re active anymore? Palestinian children are not innocent because they were throwing stones at soldiers? Like wut??! now on the conflict itself - we cannot and shouldn’t have to go back a million years to prove which people “has the right or not” to live some place. This is dangerous territory and very quickly turns into fascistic nonsense. There is a UN resolution that all sides should abide by. Neither Israel nor Palestine at this stage want to do that. Arab states + Iran are not helpful in the slightest and did nothing to facilitate dialogue and normalise ties over the past few decades. At the same time, the US and its allies are not as hard on the Israeli government as they should have been. They should have stopped the illegal settlements before it became too late including through sanctions. Netanyahu and the ultra-right parties are a cancer to Israel and quite a big number of Israelis have shown their contempt for that government. Also I don’t think you’ll find another country where the population disapproves of its own government so much in the face of an external military threat. Usually it’s the opposite. Hamas’s actions are the most counterproductive element for Palestians’ cause. Before the attack on Oct 7th, Israel and Saudi were about to normalise relations which undoubtedly would have included Israeli concessions on Gaza and the West Bank. But the terroristic regime of Iran of course couldn’t let that happen and was better to sacrifice palestinians than to allow Israel to have diplomatic relations in the region and threaten its interests. Hamas needs to be eradicated and Netanyahu needs to go for good for there to be some peace but unfortunately I don’t see that happening.
  9. Yes. I came to see what the discussion is about and saw some of the worst takes I’ve seen on the war. Honestly some of the things people write, including you, are shameful. I am not going to start a whole ass discussion with people who are very far away from my understanding about the world and humanity because there is no point in having that discussion. Also, not sure why you decided to write to me in Serbo-Croatian, but I don’t care if you’re impressed or not. I am neither enlightened nor that cultured but I am free to express my disappointment with fascist takes when I see them. If I’ve done something wrong, the mods should feel free to ban me.
  10. Wow great to know that Lana attracts a wonderful collection of equally stupid right and left fascists
  11. I’d add a bridge to all songs that don’t have one. And I mean god-tier bridges like Terrance, National Anthem, PWYC, Ride, Honeymoon!!!!!
  12. 1. Cover is gorgeous 2. video interview was probably Lana’s best interview so far 3. i would love a billie/finneas collab 4. an adele collab would make moms and gays sob in their cars
  13. He won’t be able to push the vast majority of his policies through Congress
  14. Jack Antanoff is the Ryan Murphy of pop music. Like it was fun at the start but now it’s just painful
  15. I think her decision not to promote is part of her success
  16. Even if she doesn’t win anything (although I think she will), the mere fact that A&W got nominated alongside the most radioplayed and popular pop songs of the year is attestation of her genius. She better go to the ceremony and serve cunt
  17. Y’all better stream suburban house so she’s happy and doesn’t go on a rant about Israel edit: streaming rn, not a bad song
  18. Brazil’s suggestion was stupid and had nothing to do with “ending the war”. More importantly, the latest UN debacles just show how impotent the organisation is at solving any type of global crisis. as for the statement that Lana allegedly has signed - it’s a stupid statement that doesn’t mean anything. I don’t like what the statement says because as most public positions on the situation, it is scared to go into the nuances of the conflict. but honestly I couldn’t care less because at the end of the day I am 10000% sure it will have 0 impact on any policymaking. Also it would be great if Lana was “educating” herself on all sorts of geopolitical matters but let’s be real here…
  19. This discussion is so fucking annoying honestly… why are we bothered that someone is not “poor enough” for our understanding? Why do you feel that there is only one version of poverty and struggle? Black-and-white mentality is getting proper ridiculous at this point.
  20. I don’t like to spread negativity so I will just say that it’s cool to see Lana collabing with and supporting smaller artists
  21. That’s so fucked up to be honest. At this points it looks like a deliberate snub
