  1. Vote for A&W or Lana's next album will consist of 10 short songs produced by Jack where the only instrument is a piano.
  2. Wake up honey, new year-end lists just dropped A.V. Club's Best Albums of 2023: Ocean Blvd #5 Coup De Main's Best Albums of 2023: Ocean Blvd #5 Entertainment Weekly's Best Albums of 2023: Ocean Blvd #6
  3. Far Out Magazine's Best Albums of 2023: Ocean Blvd #11 The infamous publication that described Candy Necklace as "glitch pop and a floor-filler" in their initial review.
  4. Yes, if we look just at year-end lists then A&W is her most acclaimed song since Video Games.
  5. Ocean Blvd will be in The Guardian's top ten albums of the year. They've posted spots from 50 to 11 and Lana's not there, so the chance is very high.
  6. But the album is getting praise on the year end lists and is among the top five most acclaimed albums of the year? Sit down.
  7. Ocean Blvd is #13 on DIY's year end list: https://diymag.com/feature/diy-albums-of-the-year-2023 Just so you know: this year they gave 176 albums a higher rating than Lana (she originally got a 7/10).
  8. Slant gave the album a 6/10 and now they're naming it album of the year. I don't know who reviews her albums initially, but this has to stop.
  9. Lana's albums on year-end lists aggregate: 2023: Ocean Blvd #4 with 87 points (41 lists so far) 2021: Chemtrails #30 with 78 points, Blue Banisters OUT with 28 points (130 lists) 2019: Norman #1 with 451 points (127 lists) 2017: Lust For Life OUT with 42 points (132 lists) 2015: Honeymoon #24 with 60 points (80 lists) 2014: Ultraviolence #14 with 103 points (77 lists) 2012: Born To Die OUT with 24 points (56 lists) So Ocean Blvd is doing far better than any Lana's album except for Norman, obviously.
  10. Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd on year-end lists so far: #1 — Time Out #1 — The Sunday Times #4 — The New York Times #5 — The New Yorker #5 — OOR #6 — Uncut #6 — MOJO #6 — Les InRocks #8 — RIFF #11 — Pitchfork #11 — MondoSonoro #16 — Exclaim! #18 — Gorilla vs. Bear #20 — Esquire #21 — Rolling Stone #24 — Paste Magazine #25 — Consequence of Sound #36 — Crack Magazine #4 overall with 87 points from 41 lists
  11. Good lists so far! My top 10 is: 10. Sufjan Stevens - Javelin 9. Olivia Rodrigo - GUTS 8. Yves Tumor - Praise A Lord Who... 7. Eartheater - Powders 6. Julie Byrne - The Greater Wings 5. Caroline Polachek - Desire, I Want To Turn Into You 4. Paramore - This Is Why 3. Kelela - Raven 2. Lana Del Rey - Did You Know That There's A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd? 1. Amaarae - Fountain Baby
  12. She did the interview because The Sunday Times named Ocean Blvd as the best album of 2023. I appreciate when she does interviews not just for promo, but because of how much her work is respected
  13. Is she acoustic? Why did she decide to delete her Instagram account in the middle of her Grammy campaign?
  14. I need this, she sings Candy Necklace perfectly. Imagine just her in a black dress, with John on the piano and the dark visuals behind them
  15. A great result for this album and Lana! In comparison, it took 2 years (!) for Lust For Life to reach the same milestone, and it's a much more accessible album with big collabs.
  16. I don't think so, she's still doing her Ocean Blvd tour. Even the promo pic is the same.
  17. They actually asked her good questions and made their research, we need more videos like this, it reminded me why I absolutely adore her.
  18. Shut up, you were justifying Russia's invasion of Ukraine where a lot more civilians died. "Disappointed" my ass.
