  1. “This is the experience of being an American Whore” followed by a trippy interlude oh man the collapses that are imminent
  2. ^agree with this. It’s definitely marred. And great lyrical analysis Lanaboards 👏 I think this song offers us so much insight into Lana’s current psyche — possibly why she doesn’t care as much about beauty and aesthetic as much as she used to. And it’s interesting how almost her production and lyrical content as of late echoes the sentiment of Tunnel — stripping everything back to find the heart/‘handmade’ beauty. A search for the true self ✨ Lana really lives by the idea of making her life into a work of art. I think the younger kids will grow to appreciate her sonic and lyrical shift as they get older.
  3. @ me next time sis. But anyways, like I said, he *helped legitimize her as an artist and realize *her genius. I’m not saying he is solely responsible for her turning a new leaf in her career, but I do think their collaboration revealed a more sophisticated side of Lana’s artistry. But yeah, I agree that it was a mutually beneficial relationship. There’s a reason all the indie girls in music (and even some men) flocked to Jack after NFR. Love your contributions to this forum btw don’t take anything I say seriously. ✨
  4. As long as this album doesn’t sound like the mess that was Blue Banisters, I’m happy.
  5. I said legitimized. I’m not implying he made Lana or anything. but he did help her remove the gimmics (heavy reverb, lyrical tropes, overly cinematic production) to reveal her true genius as a songwriter. And for that I appreciate him.
  6. I’m confused by BOZ. One minute he says that he likes the latter end of the album the most, the next minute he lists most of those songs as his least favorite. He calls a song a snoozefest then claims the album should receive a 100 on Metacritic. I kind of wish these 1ns1ders would talk about the lyrical content, bc who really gaf about the production at this point. I think we ALL know Lana’s not going to move out of her post-NFR soundscape. If you think so, you’re setting yourself up for disappointment. and to all the kids on this forum: no we’re never getting anything like BTD or UV again.
  7. Y’all saying Jack stifles Lana’s creativity is so funny to me 🤭 If anything he elevated Lana to new heights and legitimized her position in music.
  8. Not to be dramatic but it was a little nasty of Miley to release on the same day. Hm.
  9. I hope AW is more Cinnamon Girl as opposed to Tulsa. Tulsa’s instrumentals are too quiet.
  10. Naur tbh. I just think Ben and Ed pushed her to promo this one after Dua left them high and dry. But I do think it’ll be better than Blue Blandisters ✨
  11. Ben and Ed pushing up the album to avoid Miley blocking her makes me think they have some good internal sales already 👏 I’m think they have 30-40k preorders locked in in the US (wishful thinking), so maybe this album can do 60-70k? 👀👀👀
  12. Wish Jack and Laura Sisk mastered everything tbh 😭
  13. I appreciate its build up so much, so atmospheric and haunting. Agree that maybe it could’ve been a little louder in the final mix, but truly Lana X Jack’s best work in terms of production I think.
  14. This alone shuts up any Jack hater I rest my case forever:
  15. Don’t y’all notice the difference with Tunnel’s mixing? Miles better than anything on BB. There’s actual attention to detail in the mixing. Wasn’t Cali mixed by Zach Dawes etc.?
  16. The Jack hate is the result of fans wanting to blame someone for Lana’s shift toward more lyrically ambitious and less reverb heavy/dream-pop music. But the truth is Jack is a great producer, especially with Lana. His production can become redundant at times but not so much with Lana. Drew on the other hand… something stinks! No but seriously I think their collaboration was the result of Jack having a crazy schedule and Lana needing to find someone quickly. I didn’t like his production on BB and whoever does the mixing for their tracks… No the WORST PART is the delivery of the Beautiful lines… she was at her lowest.
  17. I hope the Tik Tok kids have something to make viral during the first week. But then again they had “I don’t wanna liiiive” and it still sold 33k 💀
  18. I want there to be a moment that gags us/the world on first listen. Like not musically but lyrically. Something like “Kanye West is blonde and gone” ✨
