EW included Blue Banisters in the best songs of the week and Pitchfork placed Text Book in their Pitchfork Selects playlist. Not that critics really matter too much but it’s nice to see the songs get acclaim.

Fantano put all three songs under best tracks of the week. He said he liked Text Book the best and called Wildflower the weakest link. But overall he enjoyed them all.

For some reason when she says “there were flowers that were dry” it sounds like what people stereotypically think a Lana Del Rey song sounds like. Idk why but her vocals there sound like an imitation of herself ? still like the song tho.

Hm I think she’s referring to the media (specifically the Ann Powers article) and their assumptions about her upbringing/lack of authenticity. It’s truly her telling her own story.

Wildflower Wildfire is great because this is the most vulnerable and honest she's ever been. But it's just so funny to me that it's produced by Mike Dean bc it does not sound like it was at all.

Also y'all I initially thought she said "God I wish I was with my father he could see that all lives matter" in Textbook omg.
