I literally said it aged poorly for me...

I’m losing interest in Lana sadly. I’ll always listen to the work she puts out but I just feel such a disconnect lately, idk why. I hope the new album surprises me but if not I’ll probably revert to casual listener status. Up till NFR I felt like I could relate to her music but as it becomes more mature and stripped back I think I’m just losing interest. It could be because I’m still relatively young but I just miss the fire she brought to her albums. NFR was obviously more folky but the fire was still there in songs like Mariners, Venice and The Greatest. I like Chemtrails but it aged really poorly for me and I only go back to White Dress. Idk. As cheesy as it sounds and idc if it makes me a “local” I loved and appreciated the little things (teasers, effort put into artwork, effort put into shows and visuals). I get what she’s going for with this nonchalant approach but for me what drew me to Lana was her attention to detail in regard to those aspects. And I definitely miss the more theatrical, dramatic elements to the songs. I guess I’m just not as into this more mature sound.

Honestly I feel like I’m the only one not getting Chemtrails folkly/country vibes from this (besides the aesthetic of the mv). It sounds more like something off of LFL or even Norman.

Even if it is a piano ballad lyrically it sounds so much more personal and introspective in comparison to Chemtrails. I'm excited idgaf!

The background synths sound like they're building up to something... I don't think it's gonna be a ballad tbh.

If anything this sounds more like a return to form production wise... why are y'all whining?

I don’t get her tbh. Even if she is “trolling” the media and her fanbase it isn’t doing anything other than ruining her legacy and turning people away from her music.

The lack of effort and the toned down production isn’t the artistic statement she thinks it is... such a mess.

If that’s the album cover I literally wont purchase the album sorry.

Part of me wishes she’d take more time between albums and let them breathe a little bit. I honestly wouldn’t mind if she took a Fiona Apple/Lorde/Frank Ocean approach and released every 5 years or something. And I honestly wouldn’t mind if she deleted her social media and just lived her life normally. She always talks about hating fame but then she always provokes unnecessary attention... make it make sense.

Her saying "I wan't revenge" and then dropping another stripped back folk album just wouldn't make sense imo. She wrote Chemtrails before QFTC (correct me if I'm wrong) and then she probably started this album after qftc (hence the noticeable disconnect she has with Chemtrails). Hopefully this is an upbeat angry album I'm manifesting it.
