I wanted to rush to this thread first, but I saw the Sophie thread and decided to put my first thoughts there. Sophie was such an integral part in not only Charlie’s career, but in music generally. She did so much!!! SO MUCH!!!! I want to cry bcus she was this big figure and this light in a way. One that shined no matter what; untouchable. This is devastating.

As someone who discovered her greatness through Charli, has always heard be talked about in the music circles I frequent, and listened to some of her music, this is devastating. This isn’t right. She’s such a monumental figure for PC Music, hyperpop, and music in general. She deserved to live a long life Larry King, Cicely Tyson, and now....Sophie.

I can’t imagine doing demos for another as an artist, and then watch the songs blow up, demos of songs that could’ve easily been yours cuz they suit your sound. you know what lemme repress this thought

You know what’s so unfortunate too? This album already sounds like a watered down result of all the r&b albums I already listen to. Why should I come back to positions? It doesn’t offer anything interesting, fresh, fun, or new. im not sure if summer walker is “respected” in r&b tho lol....but I do think her projects before her debut studio album were good.
