  1. considering I already see “worse than sweetener” comments, it’s reveals very much that y’all don’t like r&b in the slightest so why would you even like positions? anyways, that being said....positions was bland and forgettable. I love r&b, and I liked sweetener, but this album....ain’t it. I moreso trust the opinions of people who like r&b to determike whether this album was good or not, bcus of course ppl who have never listened to that genre before won’t like it
  2. do you know what experimental is? the only track that was near that was the light is coming....and that’s it also, ahead of its time? everything that Ariana didnt do before on that album was already done by much more talented r&b artists before her. this is not ahead of its time in the slightest.
  3. Yeah like I see what it was tryna do but it seems like a few tweaks to it would make it better
  4. ma’am this wasn’t a serve, this was a throwing of leftover crumbs
  5. The song has no sauce. No spice. It’s the equivalent to unseasoned chicken. Fill me in

    Charli XCX

I’m not sure if Charli can pull of Janet...... I’ll have to wait and see I guess
  7. Oh thank you ❤️. But if I had to be honest, I had little knowledge of her in general or personally. She was close to the rest of my family though, and when they found out, they were devastated. just so unfair she went out that way
  8. You absolutely can a family member caught it last year back when no one had knowledge of covid. she had caught it again this year, and has unfortunately died bcus of it. her daughter is around my age.
  9. My moms a nurse who works her behind off every day. Nurses are really overlooked and it makes me sad. The classism is showing
  10. That doesn’t mean she won’t test positive after she leaves that place though lol I don’t know where this idea stemmed from; the one where bcus you tested positive before going over to a place, that means you’re safe all the while being and eventually leaving there
  11. it’s a good song, but it doesn’t hold up that much. But I like the little new additions to the sound
  12. “They say I was born from money, but I was not” girl........are we really doing this rn?

    Azealia Banks

azealia banks??? privileged??? shes a dark skin black woman.....and you have the audacity to act as if lana isnt in fact very much more priviliged than her?? um...chile, anyways so
  14. hey im kinda new to her considering i was 12 when her debut came out. was she really that popular? bcus i remember checking the streams of all the songs on ntmt and they were either 1 or 2 milliom listens.
  15. maybe ill have to listen to it again (also this is my first gaga album ive listened to), but the electro pop started getting uber repetitive, and im not being biased, cuz i like that sound. but i can appreciate how some of the songs stood out from each other lyrically
  16. when she mentions Kehlani even though she never had a #1...telling that’s all I have to say
  17. you can politely go back to not being a user on here
  18. “It isn’t my place, BUT..”
  19. you sound so ignorant..... the victim mentality from her really did seep down to yalls brains huh?
  20. What logic is this???
  21. You’re acting as if Beyonce didn’t receive even MORE backlash throughout her entire career. Lmao I can’t next
  22. As a black woman, this statement doesn’t sit right with me. I don’t know how to feel about this. I’m just really disturbed by the amount of Lana stans that are like “wow she’s gonna get dragged for this lol ppl are stupid” without being empathetic or even considering why people feel the way they feel. At the moment, black twitter is ripping her to shreds, as they should, bcus this statement just screams of white feminism. edit: and yes I know she has gotten backlash in the day, but why would you even include Beyoncé who has constantly been criticized by the whole of America since she even set foot on the music scene? ion know man just seeing that post that tries to “explain” why she did this, and dismissing the people who are critiquing it by saying that they’re young.....even if so, that doesn’t explain her bitterness towards the artists she mentions, which are mostly woc (and weird she mentioned kehlani when she never had a #1). and to say that there’s a place for girls like her in feminism too? Lana....vulnerable white women have always been at the forefront of feminism, with girls like Doja and Kehlani not even being considered. Like I said, I don’t know how to feel. Seeing the reactions on this site, her subreddit, and even popheads just reminds me how lonely I feel as a black woman that has her as one of my musical inspirations. Yes, I want to be a singer-songwriter (this is the first time I’ve kinda publicly declared this without shame), and she’s one of the many artists that inspire me. I wish I could feel excited for the album, but I’m too sad too. I don’t feel seen and this statement just shows that she doesn’t care much about woc issues at all. I have to leave here for a bit. edit 2: also for that person who tried to act as if Beyoncé wasn’t as criticized (if not even MORE) as Lana, literally there were whole police units who boycotted to protect her. pls lol. edit 3: her having to add kehlani in there when she never got a #1......I don’t want to say the implications of that but....ugh ion know y’all. I need to process this

    Charli XCX

i thought i would tolerate i finally understand more when listening to the whole album, but nope.... it fit in the record perfectly, but god its still so annoying to me

    Charli XCX

yeah like....i was confused when i saw the negativity. i had to go back and try to remember how that sounded, and it sounded more plainer than the other songs, but it was a nice balance. maybe they dont like it bcus its not as experimental or as much as a banger as other tracks.

    Charli XCX

    1) I want to cry. I love this album. Literally, even on a track where I was like “what the fuck am I listening to” I still was no where disappointed. was that song bad? Who knows. I don’t even care. I still was intrigued listening to it. 2) lol when click started playing, I knew it was about to be a rework of the song, only this time, it was gonna be about missing friends (which I could relate with my lonely ass). Was I right? Yes. Not even disappointed at all tbh. Satisfied. 3) on one of the lines on party 4 u, I thought it said “ima farty on u”. I had to go straight to genius to see if Charli had the nerve to put that on there, and she didn’t. thank god. 4) as I was typing this, I was about to write about how pink diamond is a song I still can’t get, but is a masterpiece. well, the album started playing from the start again cus the album ended, and I like the song even more now. I love the little shrill guitars. 5) DAMN her and her boyfriend were together for 7 years?
