  1. For me, it's the way it immediately clicked that made it the "NFR successor" in my mind. I LOVE Chemtrails and some of BB, but it took me a few listens to get it. OB was immediate, the way I felt about NFR. It's not something I can point to (lyrics or vocals or production or style), but something inherent and intangible that gilds the songs, and gives them that Lana magic.
  2. i agree but i try not to think about it too much bc i quit vaping and that makes me crave it again
  3. My fav lyrics from this album 1. You’re so funny I wish I could skinny dip inside your mind 2. Grandfather please stand on the shoulders of my father while he’s deep-sea fishing for sharks in the pacific 3. i just smile cause babe I already know you know I got nothing under this overcoat 4. I say I live in Rosemead really I’m at the Ramada it doesn’t really matter doesn’t really really matter 5. Got a cop [shhhh] who turned on the back beat, puts the shower on while he calls me
  4. “You’re so funny I wish I could skinny dip inside your mind” is a top tier lyric. Like might be a top 5 Lana lyric of all time.

    Florence + The Machine

Every time summer comes she knows exactly what the girls need and want
  7. But Italy was not one of the shows she even initially canceled. She canceled the first 2 weeks, and then canceled the Italy show, slated for June, due to COVID separately IIRC
  8. The way she phrases “honey” in Jon Batiste Interlude scratches such an itch. The album has so many ear worms
  9. I’m not a BB hater, but I rarely come back to the songs beyond Thunder and WFWF. And, no, it doesn’t have to do with the production—I just find the subject matter un-relatable to me, as a 20 something man. Which I found unusual for her, because she is so good at tapping into more “universal truths” and themes in her music, and has done so again on Ocean Blvd. I do understand its space in her discography and the importance it has, along with all others, in her journey as an artist. I’m not shitting on it because “omg she stopped making music for the gays”, she’s allowed to speak her truth in her music, I just don’t really have it on replay either.
  10. The absolute lack of alignment and design skills especially makes this HER
  11. It's actually pinker than I was expecting!! It's just not opaque
  12. I just checked Xi Jinping’s Government’s Official Site and they haven’t mentioned anything about it…yet
  13. and will it be on a 7inch heart shaped vinyl in ACTUAL opaque baby pink?
  14. Madonna trying to sing Lana's wordy lyrics a la Grandfather
  15. 1. Say Yes To Heaven (feat. Taylor Swift) 2. Pearl Watch 3. Me Ring A Bell (feat. Madonna) 4. Psycho 5. Lifeguard
  16. "Say Yes To Heaven, Say Yes To Me" from Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd: Pearl Watch Me on Ring a Bell Psycho Lifeguard will be out April 14th
  17. Maybe my own bias, bc i greatly prefer DYK, but I don't remember COTCC getting the attention and having the same impact with the general population as this album at all?
  18. It's about accepting happiness in your life. Saying yes to "heaven", with "heaven" being a metaphor for bliss/happiness. It's neither religious nor spiritual imo.
  19. What could be more radio/TikTok friendly than a song called "Coming For Ya"
  20. I would literally pay The Eras Tour ticket prices to see Lana vape directly into Taylor's face
  21. The opposite of a cash grab. She'd be the first person to lose money on a song
  22. i mean this whole thing is more of a cash grab than something really "just for the fans" so I feel like she should go all out on that angle...
