  1. Lana actually ghost wrote a lot of Gaga’s “Born This Way” album. However, she asked not to be credited as a writer/producer yet still received royalties from streaming/album sales. When the songs were used in a Coca-Cola commercial, since Lana was not credited on them, she received none of the Coca-Cola money. Lady Gaga refused to acknowledge that Lana deserved her fair-share of the ad payout. In a moment of rage, she wrote “So Legit”.

  2. I hate to wax poetic, but as someone who distinctly remembers having to defend her to my peers in the 8th grade, back in 2012/13, and how she was the punchline of many media-outlets—it makes me uniquely emotional seeing the praise and the deep-rooted respect she is given now in 2023. Seeing headlines like “Lana Del Rey forgives us” and reading articles like this tell me what I always knew about her, and in a way, they validate the little boy who was made fun of for liking her and who felt the need to hide who he really was. Maybe one day I’ll forgive them too

Midnights is pretty much a breakup album I would say they were just keeping it really private because I don’t think they were seen together a lot around midnights but they never really were even before.

They did a pap walk one week before Midnights dropped, which seemed to purposefully make sure no one saw Midnights as a break-up album tho...

i always thought bejeweled fit the joe situation way too well :eyes:

also it begs the question…were Lavender Haze and Labyrinth really about Joe or about some new boyfriend we never knew about?

I always thought there was a really tragic story arch when you look at Reputation through to Midnights about a relationship ending (sometime around evermore) but believed it was all just fictional…now I’m not so sure some of evermore isn’t about Joe

  6. You’re Losing Me being written in Dec. 2021 (according to Jack) makes NO sense. So where she and Joe broken up during Midnights and just pretended to be together so it wouldn’t overshadow her album drop?

I don't think she's announcing it tonight. My prediction is Rep TV will come out in the spring, probably during the two month break between the end of the Asian dates and the beginning of the European shows. And if she announces it two months before, she wouldn't announce it until January/February

I'd love to be wrong though and have it come earlier, I kinda want the rerecordings to be over and done with, I just don't think it's happening tonight, like... at all

Speak Now TV was released 112 days after she started The Eras Tour, 1989 TV was released 112 days after Speak Now's release, and 112 days from the 1989 TV release date is February 16th, 2024. Since this is her last tour stop before February, I think that's why ppl think it's being announced tonight.
