One of the main reasons why I became kind of obsessed with Lana was her image. I recently got dragged(?) for saying that she needs to hire a stylist in a thread post where she was seen randomly out and about. And no, she does not need to get styled for literally just going to the store or to get coffee and groceries as some of the people thought that that's what I was saying. But part of a stylist's job is to curate their client's wardrobe and give beauty advice. Sure her hair was done by a hairstylist, but that's not the same - a hairstylist would have easily given her a mohawk if that's what she asked for lol. And while I am aware that Lana was never the fashion icon fashion magazines were trying to paint her as, I do think getting rid of Johnny Blueeyes was a big mistake. I really love her and her art and I think she used to have some element about her that felt a bit luxurious yet campy, but lately I feel like she has lost her taste for imagery. The music videos, the fashion choices.... It all feels like plain water, no taste and honestly I would much rather prefer bad taste over no taste.

Having seen the other version of this video makes me wish that it was the official one. I get that they had to remake it since it leaked, but I wish they didn't strip off all those scenes because they were gorgeous. Glad they kept the split at the end. I love how she does it on beat

NFR is a great album but it's overrated. Not her best.

Also I would like to add that this whole thing is sort of weird for me, idk if i am not open minded enough and i do agree with you saying that you would rather support a real musician. But at the same time i guess it could be viewed as a project of artists. I mean that’s what it is originally it still has creators behind it and that’s why i did the comparison with cartoon characters

But still like i said people were complaining about disney not having (enough?) diversity in their line of princesses so were they complaining about not being taken advantage of according to you? Cuz that Is what confuses me. And that’s just one example, the same could be said about fashion brands - if they use black or latin models doesn’t that also equal to white cis men using poc to make money then?
