He seems like one of the few insiders that are actually genuine and not constantly reminding people how much they know without telling anything (at least what I remember from the Lana stuff cause I don't really follow him so I don't know if he's actually another egomaniac )

Since this album wasn't a surprise release I guess she'll announce the lead single beforehand even if it's released alongside the album right? I need to know if we're getting a Lana MV

From what Taylor has said about Midnights it looks like it's going to be a really personal album so I'm kinda scared Lana had little input in the song besides some improvised adlibs... but as long as she has a big part on the song I'd be fine I guess

I think they only leak like a day before (if they even leak). Obviously Folkore and Evermore didn't leak since they were surprise releases (and the physicals weren't in distribution yet) but since Midnights was announced more than a month in advance and there are so many variants there's a chance someone fucks up and it gets shipped/sold early...

I don't know how unpopular this is cause I see some stans of this album but also a lot of people that don't like it/don't care for it but AKA is as good (and even better than some) of her major label albums

I think Taylor can give her advice on that but she can't prevent her security being shit and everything leaking in advance

Style + PWYC make no sense AT ALL... like how you mix a pop song produced by Max Martin with an almost freestyled track with just an electric guitar and a drum set I hope I'm wrong but I think it's going to be a corny country ballad Even though the aesthetic of her album is giving me midtempo synth songs...

Yeah I thought it was "lol at this announcement" which felt like a whatever -side eye- moment but it's actually just "lol this announcement" which is similar but doesn't have the weird tone and feels like genuine excitement

Post album singles are not really a thing anymore in the streaming era (I mean they exist and MVs get released after the album but they are not a big event like they used to be, specially for an albums artist like Taylor) so I'm not worried about having to wait too long for an announcement on Lana's part. Also it's called Snow On The Beach they can't wait until spring to release a MV and I don't think Lana would want to delay her releases even further to fit Taylor's schedule anyway.

The thing with Lana lately is that even her "angry" songs are on the slow side (Arcadia being a ballad, Dealer being midtempo at most etc) so I'm not sure if her anger will translate into a harder sound like it used to (in UV for example) but at least she plays with her voice in tracks like BBS and of course Dealer. When she said she was angry on the next record I assumed she meant that the lyrics are not going to be pretty and polished like HM but more a display of her rough feelings... but about the sound of it I honestly have no clue We know theres orchestra and that Jack and her were playing with some 808 drums (but ended up recording a piano track ????) but that's it There's also the possibility that the record is not anymore what it was in May cause she tends to change her mind a lot so well...

I think it's pretty unlikely we get anything before the Taylor track. And you’re probably right about the collab being the reason we don't have a song from LDR9 already... She always releases something before even finishing the album but I think we now have the answer to why it hasn't happened this time On one hand we'll have to wait more but on the other hand the wait between single and album will be shorter (and we are getting new Lana in 2 weeks anyway so I'd say it was worth it )

A single soon with the preorder for early next year (around February-March) would be a dream cause we'll finally have real dates to look forward to and she'll have time to release another single or two in between but I wonder when exactly it is happening (if something is happening this year). I guess mid November looks like a good date since it's not too close to the Taylor thing (cause I doubt she wants to release that quickly after the collab) but I wonder if we're getting an announcement some weeks before cause it would be a bit weird to announce the single just right after Taylor's album Or maybe she'll release a random song like she always does sometime between November - December and she'll use the new coming year as a fresh start to properly announce the album... The triple singles were a "surprise" and if I remember correctly LMLYLAW was announced like the same day it was released (and we only knew beforehand because of the video she posted of the Chemtrails bts and cause we shazamed the leaked snippet ) so maybe she'll release out of the blue this time too.

I find so interesting that she basically ignored HM for all these years and she now suddenly referenced it like 3 times in the same month (plus going back to the HM account without changing the name or bio which I'm so happy about cause I'd cry if she changed it) Maybe she just listened to it a lot during her trip to Italy or something but it's kinda suspicious but Lana is just so random There's also the "honeymoon from hell" thing from Jack but that was probably just because of her ig handle. She did say that the new stuff is the opposite of Honeymoon tho... (at least lyrically)
