It makes no sense for Lana to do a magazine cover if nothing was coming in the next 5-6 months tho... she's not the celebrity type to be everywhere in the media between album cycles so it must mean something. Maybe they did the interview some time ago (so no title yet) cause we know the pictures are recent (like literally last week when she was in NY so that was fast ) and they agreed for a May cover so it would be closer to the first music release of the new album

I really like this. I can see the cover being something like that cause the b&w matches the vibe of the "stream of consciousness" type of record she seems to be going for (even though it's Lana and we know she's not the best as describing her own music so maybe we are getting something more carefree in sound even if the lyrics are on the complex side)

I wonder if this automatic writing thing will also affect the song titles and we are getting really long and weird ones

They probably use the voice memos to create a rough demo to have the feel of the song and then do a vocal take at the studio (I hope) cause the quality would be awful otherwise

The important question is... are we getting another TLSP outtake in this album?

I feel the same as you. If she has a lot of songs and even an early tracklist BOZ should know by now (he knew every time RCS/BB changed and what songs were swapped around in the early stages) so if he hasn't said anything it's probably cause he knows nothing. He was so quick to spill about WCE as soon as he got it so I don't think he would stay silent if he knew something already

Also Jack's security seems to be top notch cause I don't think any Jack outtake leaked right?

I don't think the Drew part meant that she gives him the voice memos and the rest is on him to complete the song. I guess it's more along the lines of trying to create a rough demo quickly to see how things would sound and then "perfect" it a bit cause we saw them together in the studio figuring out the orchestral parts. I think it will be similar to BBS. I'm expecting some crazy Noir level vocals if the takes are indeed not changed at all, which exites me a lot cause angry unhinged Lana is so interesting (and funny, the MAIL ME WHEN YOU GET THE BLUES still gets me every time )

Maybe she'll give us more info in the IG caption when she posts about the magazine

I kinda feel like she has a title but she didn't want to reveal it yet. She always has a title early in the process and it's often the first thing she reveals about the next record so it's weird. Maybe they didn't even ask and they said it was untitled cause Lana hasn't announced it yet and they couldn't find it

I mean... OTTR is kinda word heavy and automatic writing in a way... she just be saying stuff so maybe you are onto something. She explicitly said that Drew added orchestra, not just piano chords like Jack so I have good feelings about the new music (and she mentioned Old Hollywood too )

I didn't expect her to still be angry (even though I understand why). I thought she got closure with BB (not complaining, I'd take more BBS energy). If she's not filtering anything I sense a lot of swearing and controversial lines

Why tho? (I read the interview really fast cause I was so excited so maybe I missed some crucial information) but I feel the opposite way. We don't have a title but she's already refering to the next thing as an "album" and even talked about a "first song" so assuming is not literally the first song she wrote she even seems to have a tracklist. Maybe is not coming as soon as we think but it feels better than NFR where she put out songs every 3-4 months without mentioning the album release

Even if it's still untitled she's refering to it as an album already instead of talking about "a collection of songs she has so far" so it's probably coming this year right? Maybe not in the summer but I can see it coming in the fall

Why are people freaking out? (In a "not him again" way. Obviously I understand being excited for our first real confirmation of new songs). We already knew Jack was involved in the album and we don't know anything about the song(s) Also piano is basically the starting point of every song. Is the best instrument to start composing on and accompany a raw melody so that doesn't mean it's a piano only ballad (and we are definitely getting a couple of those anyway)
