I hope so but by her (very brief) description it looks like it's going to be similar to BB (wordy, conversational, Drew) but she did explicitly mention an orchestra so unless it's very muffled in the background maybe we're getting the cinematic sound back. She could just be talking about a couple of songs of course so it's all still a mystery I'm excited to hear the first single cause she used to release the most "commercial" songs first but since NFR her lead (and subsequent) singles are pretty representative of the album so maybe we'll get a clue once it's out

She didn't formally announce it but I think in one of their bar performances Lana said something about being excited about their country record (but maybe she meant "record" as just another new song.) Nikki also talked in an interview that they wanted to write more songs together after BUS. After both having new albums coming and no mention from either of them about more joint music I guess it's not coming anytime soon

Funnily enough I came across 2 songs yesterday almost back to back in spotify that mention her. Naked In Manhattan by Chappell Roan: When I sing that Lana song it makes you cry I've listened to her other songs and she's great Talk About Me by Skott Meeting up with Lana just to talk about me She mentions a lot of other celebrities tho

Blue by Madison Beer is very very obvious but she explicitly said it was influenced by her and she's a stan so I don't know if it counts

It's mostly BTD and UV but NFR became her 2nd (?) most streamed album recently and the numbers are insane so at least she won't just be the BTD girl BB also had a cute moment with Dealer at least. And about the pictures I totally agree and I hate it. It's always BTD Lana and even worse... obvious edits of models bodies with her face

Kinda related to this, I've been think how much hate Lana used to get in 2020/2021, like constant viral hate tweets and all that calling her racist, a republican, a karen... and even bodyshaming her. One year later all she gets is praise again and she's repeaking in popularity (obviously she still gets some small amount of hate like all artists do). That show us how people on social media just jump on "hate trends" and don't even care why or how until they get bored or forget and jump onto the next one

We need Tim Larcombe back. His drumming work with Lana is unmatched

For me Chemtrails is more folky and BB is more traditional piano ballad centered with some random chaotic moments (like The Trio, BBS and Dealer) but I agree that they both have the same singer-songwriter vibe to it. I don't think LDR9 is going to change that much from the latest albums but I trust her to add a signature sound to it like you just said. I have no clue about what new element she could add cause she touched almost every genre in her albums already and we haven't heard a single second from the new music Maybe she'll freestyle rap the whole album

It bugs me that she says "the rain was fire but we were wooden". Wouldn't it make more sense to sing "the rain was fire and we were wooden"?. Like I understand the rain being fire like something "negative" so after the "but" it would make more sense to put an adjective or a phrase that meant it didn't affect them (something like "the rain was fire but we didn't care" but obviously written better) Sorry I can't explain it properly

I hope it's something creative with a concept that ties the whole album together like the NFR one with references to different songs but I'd take another - just looking pretty - picture from Neil like the BB cover cause I don't trust her Edit: Now that I think about it the BB cover also had references to the title track with the dogs and the "banisters" behind her

I hope the voice memos with reverb and orchestra are just their way of making early demos cause I want clear vocals I don't want to hear her barefoot chickens in the background of every song

A french husband insider told me the producer of LDR9 is Nick Rowels. Never heard of him but they told me he's good

I'd love if she added RBFY on LDR9 as a little interlude or intro. I didn't care that much about it at first but when she teased it again with the harmonies it really mesmerized me I wonder if she ever finished it cause both snippets are exactly from the same part of the song I don't know if it would match LDR9 tho cause RBFY seems like a happy/hopeful song and I sense LDR9 to be more angry/chaotic. But she didn't include Yosemite in an album called Lust For Life cause it was too happy so we'll never know with Lana

Yep I remember the 15 months thing. I think it was right after HM cause someone in an interview mentioned that it was just 1 year since she released UV and we already got another album. I got so excited knowing we were basically getting yearly albums from her (and she was almost spot on about it ) I've been thinking that maybe they realized people got annoyed by the constant teasing (with snippets) and fake announcements of the NFR to BB eras and that's why they are hesitant about announcing titles and dates now. I'm sure something is coming soon but I guess it won't be revealed by Lana herself until it's actually set in stone and really near. I doubt she cares about Ben teasing cause if it was for her she would have posted a lot about it already

The latest news are from Ben constantly teasing new music now. He said "music in the works" when reposting the W mag stuff in May, then said "music incoming" and "new album soon" just a couple of days ago

I still can't believe we are really getting a new album after having 2 on 2021 we don't deserve Lana And the best part about it is that this time we don't have a single or a snippet or a fake date so even if it takes some months to come out it's not going to feel dragged. Chemtrails real rollout for example, was pretty normal. LMLYLAW in October and then the title track + preoder in January with the album in March. What really felt bad about it is that she announced it back in May for September in qftc and this time we are not having any of that

They like attention too much to stay silent just to be "kind" to Lana They either don't know anything yet cause it's still some weeks away or we are getting a leak-less era this time

It would be so funny if after the countless guesses we made DNC ended up being nothing we have said. Or even worse, we don't hear about it again. Or she has a track called DNC but she never sings anything related to those letters and never tells us what it means

Manifesting a single announcement right now with the release being next Wednesday I'm also manifesting the album title to be a surprise until we get the preorder. Imagine the meltdowns if we get date + name + cover(s) + tracklist at the same time We didn't even get anything for BTDs 10th anniversary (unless they are waiting for Paradise)

But poor Ellie gets bullied by her label and gets her albums stopped all the time unless she gets a hit . Managers can only do so much... at the end of the day releases are dictated by labels. Luckily Lana's only limitation is herself (and vinyl plants ofc
