I think Mike’s a little busy for Lana rn so anything they’ve done is probably complete/shelved, and we know how often she likes to change her mind so I’m not holding out total hope for her to be working lots with him. I hope I’m wrong though x

girl is a gun, 1121, the lighthouse, whispers and the tradition are the only songs I really enjoyed. The Tradition sounds super similar to Your Star by Evanescence which is kinda neat. It also sounds like another song which idk but yeah. Other than that, the album isn’t doing an awful lot for me. not really in a ‘I need more listens’ way either. maybe im just outgrowing her but it’s disappointing, BL/HFK are two of my fav albums.

It honestly depends how far the song went through production. I doubt it got far at all, the best we’ll get is probably an instrumental demo - any vocal takes were probably erased

Pieces of You by Jewel! It’s an album from the 90s, very folksy stripped back acoustic tracks.

Is there a master post anywhere with unreleased songs that definitely aren’t on the album?

Anyway I’d absolutely love a Jewel cover on this album. Lana’s very clearly influenced by her (Sirens/AKA era especially) & even quoted one of her songs in her yearbook. Arcadia really gives me Pieces of You vibes too.. I would like to see it happen. edit: imagine Lana crooning the f word over and over again like in POY

I think those three were a triple release because of how distinct they are as a triplet maybe? I’m hoping so. I love the singles but I agree, an album full of them wouldn’t be my favourite.

‘Colour blue’ has potential for sure but I also don’t know if it’s the right album for it? Based on the singles I think the songs need more of a focus on herself. ‘I talk to Jesus’ would be perfect. ‘Your Girl’ I want to be on it so bad but honestly unlikely. BB title track being about how she’s content without a man versus ‘I want to be your girl’. I like the idea of IDWG being on it, it could be a good transition between heartbreak & where she’s at in the title track (even if BB probably is track 1/2) edit: Wild One is perfect for the album sorry I’m obsessed like ‘can’t be bitter when I talk about him’ .. also I’m obsessed with that song rn ?
