So Olivia said 'Dark But Just A Game' was her favourite song at the minute, and she loves how specific Lana is with things that she does. That's all. Some fans tweeted things like "omg Olivia said she wants to work with Lana and has reached out to collab on her next album" and when people were like "nobody moved", they replied with the clip of her saying she loves Lana and said "no omg look, she talked about Lana". So, yeah she said she loves Lana but nothing about a collab. I think.

Something about this thread is so chaotic and not even a cute, funny kind of chaotic.. an annoying kind of chaotic. Anyway I've been thinking and I kind of don't expect much from Mike, the sound of the three singles just mean that unless the album is an incohesive mess, Mike's not gonna be able to shine very much. I do expect the next album to be a synth electronic masterpiece with the main producer being Mike.. we deserve that. And it better not resemble COCC, NFR or BB in any way.

Idk y’all the crunchy beats sound so good to me.. I think it’s definitely on purpose and I don’t even think it’s a quality issue with listening equipment. A lot of NFR/COCC sound watered down/weak unless you have it on full blast on HQ headphones but WFWF sounds good no matter what imo

Since she’s scrapped nearly the entire album, I wouldn’t be surprised if she wanted him to work more on it. But apparently Mike’s been devoting all his time to DONDA lately so I’m not expecting much for BB

Not at all, Billie can hold her own & definitely has her own place on the music scene. BUT, I don’t think much would change if Billie/Finneas produced for Lana. They’ve got their distinct sound & they’ve both said it’s LDR influenced. If they wrote FOR Lana, it would either lose the Billie/Finneas touch and become very LDR or it would remain as a Billie song. I just don’t think it would be valuable. Definitely interesting tho

Honestly? I think Billie and Finneas produce for Lana already if that makes sense. I can imagine Lana on every single one of Billie's songs, they are both so heavily influenced by her. So yeah, I really don't think we'd hear anything special, it'd just be a Billie album sung by Lana

The three singles are all excellent so I'm willing to trust her on this era, even if it resembles NFR/Chemtrails but I want some sort of hint at progression. I don't mind NFR/COCC incorporation but if it doesn't show any sort of evolution towards the end of the album, I'll be a little annoyed, even if the songs are amazing. But as I said, the three songs have me pretty hopeful (especially the ending of WW). Either way, I don't really understand the discourse, especially those arguing for her to remain in the NFR/COCC vein. Like, nobody's gonna hate her if she decides to not change it up much (well, we might pretend to for dramatic effect) but surely those of you who are defending the idea must want something different? Like, it's okay to not be okay with the direction of Lana's music.

this is why i really hate jack so much. i don't want this to sound like an angry anti-jack post again but the fact is that Lana's melodies are SO strong and powerful. each one of them. she straight up delivers each and every time and I'm obsessed. But I really struggle to fall in love with any of the songs on the last two albums, purely because of the production. Venice Bitch and MAC are the last two songs I've truly fallen in love with. Other than that, I've adored the melody of each and every song, like California should be my favourite Lana song but the overall production falls flat for me.
