I’ve been laughing at this for like 5 minutes???

I liked it at first but I’ve had it on repeat since and I’m lowkey already done with it. Nothing is making me perk up really. Kind of sad since I’ve had 400 Lux on repeat for 5 days and that’s one of my least favs on PH..

Side note: I don't like how they've given it that 8D audio feel? Where it like, plays only in one side of your headset. it's always so jarring to me and as someone who loves loud music, ruins the vibe when it quietens down for that.

She said this is from the perspective of a 'character' and something about naming the character (my livestream was buffering hard at this point so I could have totally misheard/missed a big part of detail but), which to me sounds like more songs on the album could be from a point of view other than her own? Kind of interesting to have it almost as the album closer.

There's 3 seconds of silence at the end so I don't think so omg.. Could still mean that they sound similar, though. The 3 seconds can just be so they're distinctly two separate songs. The album so far sounds like it will be coherent so I have no doubts that it'll sound 'right' on the album.

Disagree 100%. She’s already started creating music with new producers for new projects (such as Mike). She’s not giving any signs of giving up yet. As well, she’s been trying new stuff like the country album with Nikki. and what makes you think BB is gonna be received badly? It’s shaping up to sound pretty great.

So Olivia said 'Dark But Just A Game' was her favourite song at the minute, and she loves how specific Lana is with things that she does. That's all. Some fans tweeted things like "omg Olivia said she wants to work with Lana and has reached out to collab on her next album" and when people were like "nobody moved", they replied with the clip of her saying she loves Lana and said "no omg look, she talked about Lana". So, yeah she said she loves Lana but nothing about a collab. I think.

Something about this thread is so chaotic and not even a cute, funny kind of chaotic.. an annoying kind of chaotic. Anyway I've been thinking and I kind of don't expect much from Mike, the sound of the three singles just mean that unless the album is an incohesive mess, Mike's not gonna be able to shine very much. I do expect the next album to be a synth electronic masterpiece with the main producer being Mike.. we deserve that. And it better not resemble COCC, NFR or BB in any way.

The only thing I can see is that it looks like the same hotel room as that picture she took w the letter opener so she’s dumping pics relating to the song release yup

Idk y’all the crunchy beats sound so good to me.. I think it’s definitely on purpose and I don’t even think it’s a quality issue with listening equipment. A lot of NFR/COCC sound watered down/weak unless you have it on full blast on HQ headphones but WFWF sounds good no matter what imo

Since she’s scrapped nearly the entire album, I wouldn’t be surprised if she wanted him to work more on it. But apparently Mike’s been devoting all his time to DONDA lately so I’m not expecting much for BB

Not at all, Billie can hold her own & definitely has her own place on the music scene. BUT, I don’t think much would change if Billie/Finneas produced for Lana. They’ve got their distinct sound & they’ve both said it’s LDR influenced. If they wrote FOR Lana, it would either lose the Billie/Finneas touch and become very LDR or it would remain as a Billie song. I just don’t think it would be valuable. Definitely interesting tho

Honestly? I think Billie and Finneas produce for Lana already if that makes sense. I can imagine Lana on every single one of Billie's songs, they are both so heavily influenced by her. So yeah, I really don't think we'd hear anything special, it'd just be a Billie album sung by Lana

The three singles are all excellent so I'm willing to trust her on this era, even if it resembles NFR/Chemtrails but I want some sort of hint at progression. I don't mind NFR/COCC incorporation but if it doesn't show any sort of evolution towards the end of the album, I'll be a little annoyed, even if the songs are amazing. But as I said, the three songs have me pretty hopeful (especially the ending of WW). Either way, I don't really understand the discourse, especially those arguing for her to remain in the NFR/COCC vein. Like, nobody's gonna hate her if she decides to not change it up much (well, we might pretend to for dramatic effect) but surely those of you who are defending the idea must want something different? Like, it's okay to not be okay with the direction of Lana's music.

Agree but tbh I doubt they're having long conversations with her, it's probably like "omg i love you so much, i love ur music ur the best" "thank you for being a fan cutie <3" then they move away
