To be honest babes my internet is awful and pages take a long time to load if they have a ton of gifs but I don’t really mind they are enjoyable and funny and those kind of posts are the reason I keep coming back to this forum. I think there should be a pinned Lana news post on the homepage which only mods can update (like @Clampigirl’s timeline). It helps the guests & people who Only want news. Also, I don’t really think it’s hard to navigate like usually when something happens everyone is hyper-on-topic so if nobody’s on topic just kinda assume nothings happened or check the timeline x

@brandon @lover hope I tagged the right ppl but the Lana song itself isn’t really controversial, it’s more that whoever leaked it (allegedly) stole & leaked things like her medical records which obviously is far more extreme. idk how true that is, that’s just the reason that was being given for not listening to the song (apparently the song had been circulating among leakers and Lana had asked some of them to not let it get out).

Honestly I think it probably does sound so much better and more full with their insanely expensive speakers and in their studio. But when it’s transferred to our phones and vinyls, the texture is lost. And like you said, it becomes hollow

Yea but like, imagine if her label didn’t force her to meet with Dan for UV? Even though she desperately didn’t want to? If Jack wasn’t involved, she’d have another producer, telling her different things & the sound would be different; no matter what Lana wants. So I’m gonna keep blaming Jack mwah!

Exactly, proof that Jack is the problem! Ballads with every other producer have been gorgeous and sexy and perfect. Also, I’d argue that HM has some of her most bombastic & complex production.

Someone was hating on this Lorde song & There was a quote from Lana saying he lets her pick the genre and does whatever she asks him to do and someone tweeted it saying “he just does the genre the girls ask him to, blame Lorde not Jack” and someone responded “why does every girl ask him to do the same boring genre then” and like yeah. why are they all asking for the same thing idgi lol.

I kind of hate how she used to have a reputation for snooze music which was so obviously not true but now like. She kinda is a snooze fest. I love the music she’s been releasing even if it’s not my favourite but it isn’t anything grand. I’m not saying her music puts people to sleep now but like the ballads are getting a little too excessive now

so jack plays instrumentals and chords or whatever for these girls and they genuinely say “ok this is a song I want on my album, I want to sing over this song” or he plays a production concept on a song they write together and the girls are just ok with the final product? how is this possible. even if people like the melody and find the song cute, surely everyone agrees so much more could be done production wise to improve the song TLDR how do these industry heavyweights let jack fool them into thinking his music is good omg
