well... that wasn’t what i was expecting tbh. on initial listen i kinda hate bb’s lyrics...they feel like a grocery list the black lives matters part is...cute i guess but it’s giving marina and well i dragged her yesterday for her fake woke lyrics so NEEWAYS i loved the melodies and production tho, especially ww the chorus and pre-chorus are so good, instant fave for now tb is giving get free which is a nice vibe. one of those two also has a part that heavily resembles the end of the in my feelings chorus. i kinda love how she’s subtly sampling her own songs on her new records, seems genius to me. blue banisters production could’ve been different, maybe strings or light drums to make it fuller/dreamier . i SO wanted bridges but well no one seems to me then anymore ?? i think all of them will grow A LOT in the next 24 hours and it’s just me expecting something different but that’s on me. so excited for the rest

sorry but piano and string wise jack isn’t talented at all. his piano work is kinda always the same, too simple and quite honestly boring at times. don’t get me started on his horrible compressed mixing. the strings on nfr are some of the worst in her career, they sound so fake i’m sure he made them on garageband. again i’ll trust the man who worked with beyoncé, madonna, jay-z and kanye west before i’ll trust the one who only worked with one of the blandest, generic pop stars in the world

my thoughts on the snippet: - this is PROOF that her compressed af snoozefest production was jack’s fault and jack’s fault only so even better that she got rid of him. - the vocals and production are CRISP, the sound is FULL, the drums aren’t MUFFLED this is a WIN baby - it’s giving me clear lust for life demo meets heroin with a sprinkle of paradise vibes (production wise) and i’m HERE FOR THIS GIRL - the vocals sounds fuller and more confident, this clearly sounds like the lana we know and deeply love - the production seems to contain layers which YES THANKG FUCKING GOD FINALLY and that little alien/space like synthy sound in the background is giving me the spacey alien sounds in the 13 beaches production and again i’m LIVING. If this album really ends up like a mix of paradise meets lfl production wise or something similar i will. be. living. make no mistakes girls. this will be IT. cocc found dead in a ditch wbk.
