Looking camp right in the eye! Like actually, its so fun seeing lana be more expressive on stage. She always been know for being this mysterious, glamorous beauty queen and i love when she plays into that. Lana herself is not a persona, but i think how she chooses to portray herself and her art aesthetically each era adds a whole other layer to her artistry.

She’s truly is a gay icon. She’s never explicitly stated her sexuality, but she’s always been an ally and isn’t afraid to show some love to the girlies lmao. The fashion, the religious struggles in her music, the longing and yearning and confusion of figuring out your path while trying to remind yourself you’re still beautiful. I am a drag artist and a lot of lanas music has helped me express myself so much, and I resonate a lot with people saying lana is a “persona”, because she’s not. Matching your name and style to your aesthetic doesn’t take away the fact that the art I portray is me in my most honest form. I don’t know how I’d ever thank her enough if I ever got the chance to meet her in passing. She could retire now and would still go down as a legend, some people have numbers, but she has longevity. GAY RIGHTS!

Seeing all the videos of the festivals is making me so happy for Lana. So many comments about her being “too much” or “dramatic”. I think it’s kinda of the point, everything about these shows have been so theatrical and glamorous. People used to say she stands there and “does nothing” (which is bs she has more stage prescience in her left pinky then some of yalls other favs) and now that she wants to wear gorgeous outfits and come up with cute choreography and create stories on stage with her music people are complaining? BOOOOO this looks like the most fun she’s had on stage in a while! And I feel like this era isn’t gonna end after the festivals, I feel like she’s alluding to certain things to come tbh.

Literally. I’m hoping for more drama, Lana has always let her instrumentals play a big part in her story. Her voice almost seeming as more of the lead instrument in an orchestra, guiding you through the story. And I think ocean blvd as a whole was a huge signal that mother is bringing back the DRAMATICS! High end, thought provoking music video, amazing looks both on and off tour, and the return of a more detailed sound/ story. And she’s obviously ready for what’s to come next I’d say where she is right now is a great marker for where she’s headed! I feel that. One of my hot takes is you don’t have to stream an album 14 million times a day to appreciate it, so I try to pace my intake of each project so I don’t outgrow it😂😂

Okay I love both but the interlude IS SO UNDERRATED. So much emotion and rawness yet so soft and not many lyrics. The music told the story. However, I will not tolerate candy necklace slander! It was simple in structure, but that doesn’t mean it was uninteresting or lacking musical integrity. Such a strong metaphor for the dangers of love and fame. I have always loved that Lana isn’t scared to bare the deepness of her emotion and that has helped me get through some of the darkest points in my life.

Flop opinion! They balanced each other out perfectly and I hope that the interlude was just a preview of a future project they could be working on. I wouldn’t mind another song or two from them, they both are crazy talented.
