  1. AW is by far the most streamed song in the alt music performance category. It’s one of the categories that she really does have a chance of winning.
  2. The voting period for nominations had already ended when that letter came out.
  3. Phoebe Bridgers was the second most nominated artist behind SZA too. Like she has so much support from the music industry it’s crazy.
  4. Yeah they are kind of everywhere these days. They are doing SNL and a bunch of magazine covers, among other things. I’m afraid Lana will not do anything to promote her album.
  5. The Grammys can switch an artist to a different genre if they feel like they do not fit the category that they were submitted in. Nicki Minaj complained about this last year when they moved her rap submission to pop categories. https://www.billboard.com/music/awards/nicki-minaj-addresses-super-freaky-girl-grammys-pop-1235156072/amp/
  6. Rolling Stone is predicting her for Pop Vocal Album, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they moved her out of alternative categories again. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/2024-grammy-nominations-best-pop-vocal-album-taylor-swift-sam-smith-lana-del-rey-1234853678/amp/
  7. On one hand I would have liked to see what Lana would have done with this, but on the other this could have ended up being another Euphoria situation(song just plays during the end credits/kind of a let down).
  8. A few people like Bradley Cooper and Jordan Peele show up on the ceasefire letter now after initially only signing the letter thanking Biden. Lana’s name still isn’t on there though. A few people that she follows like Elyanna and Tommy Genesis have shared the ceasefire letter, so it’s likely that she does know about it.
  9. The last comment is actually pretty reasonable. They weren’t being rude just trying to explain why some people have a problem with her signing that letter.
  10. Oh yeah you’re right his name is on there. I was wondering who could have passed the letter along to her, since I can’t remember of another time when she has even gotten involved in something like this.
  11. Zoe Saldana, Gal Gadot, and Amy Schumer all signed the letter and posted it on their Instagram along with a list of all the other names that signed it. It looks pretty real right now.
  12. I really wish she would spend some time educating herself, but unfortunately she will likely just get super defensive like she always does and make it worse.
  13. Same when I heard that Lana was on Amy Schumer’s post, I thought it was a joke. It’s not that surprising when you really think about it though.
  14. Finally got a chance to listen to this and it was cute. Definitely not something that I will listen to often though. Also noticed that Lana has no writing or production credits on this song which might make this one of her only non cover songs where that is the case.
  15. It’s so funny how we can’t escape the piano ballads even when it’s a collab with another artist.
  16. Yeah I remember hearing that she has tried to submit to alt categories in the past but that the Grammys always end up moving her to pop anyway.
  17. They have it under major contenders along with like 15+ other artists, which is below the semi-locks and should be locks categories that they mention in that article. AOTY may be tricky to get into unless her team randomly starts doing a good job at campaigning. SOTY seems more likely though.
  18. She also was not in Nashville or Pittsburgh. She just references the biggest city around her for some reason.
  19. Yeah he was at the show yesterday.
  20. If the setlist that is online is correct, she didn’t do summertime sadness or blue jeans. That has to be the first time in a while that she hasn’t played those songs.
