This song is so strong lyrically. I feel like it was a poet turned into a song. It truly mesmerized me. "I'll be like a wildflower I live on sheer willpower" Also the instrumental of the last chorus reminds me so much of the beats of Heroin's "it's fucking hot wether !" bridge. Considering this song is channeling Heroin with hot weather lyrics, I'm loving it so much. (Omg, also "I wouldn’t know how cruel the world was" -> Cruel World)

It is coming right after California, so I don't think the lyrics are random. If you look at it in that perspective it adds a lot more meaning to the song. California: We'll have a party, we'll dance 'til dawn/I'll throw a party all night long TNBAR: Whatever's on tonight, I just wanna party with you

I have read on Genius that she mighe be referring to river Arkansas, so maybe that is why she pronounce it like that: -
These lyrics are groundbreaking I love that the instrumental is structured like rumbling waves. As the song starts you can feel the rumbling from distant shores.

In some way, we can say that it is. I'm greatly astonished by the Egyptian culture and the mythology. Thoth, the god of writing, knowledge and wisdom said to write a book that hosts secrets of life and universe. This life should have a meaning, a truth that we are not able to comprehend it yet. We are in a maze that requires us to get out. Some get lost, some get a chance to find an exit. Some don't know it exists, some choose to ignore it and some can't stop dwelling on it. Maybe, the ones we call insane are the ones who found what is at the end. -

Well, this actually made me smile because it seems to be my favorite album. So I take it as a compliment I'm just a soul that is lost at the moment. I do try to find a way to get off this ride, but how and when is the question. I am actually not too depressed as I wrote, but thinking of death somehow brings me peace. I like to create a world out of words. Every song I listen to brings me another vision. Life imitates art after all. However, as the words resonate with the world I created, "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't sick of it". -

It's strange that my mind always try to find dark meanings in songs. Maybe, I'm yearning for it. I always thought Swan Song as a suicidal song and someone is calling me to end this life and I imagine a woman, maybe woman of my dreams walking through bushes at the shore to the sea with her white tennis shoes. Now I see Get Free this way. It's actually a song with positive meaning: starting a new life. It should be, but no. I cannot see it this way. "Move out of the black, into the blue". I heard that when someone decides to take his life, he feels happy because he finally feels free. When I'll decide to move out of the black, i will head to the blues. Again a vision of walking to the sea and never coming back. Getting out of this prison called life and finally getting free.
