    If you take her songs as autobiographical (which I believe she stated it is), then yes she has been a sex worker / stripper & prostitute. There’s nothing wrong with that. Also a lack of e-trail of her days as a sex worker is a good thing lol plus it wasn’t the age of social media so that checks out and actually is for the better. I do speculate that some of it is fantasy though. Like if she really was a stripper (in NJ? Or one of those states mentioned in AKA) you’d think someone might remember her unless she used a stage name/alias/wig which is likely.

    Can you post the unused Paradise cover? Not sure I’ve seen it before.

    Serene Queen or Sugary Sweet are just roughest of roughest concepts, bottom shelf of the massive material she made for that album.

    This is really sad to me lmfao. Can we please get a little crumb the most cryptic vague response as to why the album ended up the way it did?

    I’m still pissed about the quality of NTMT in lossless….they literally ruined I Blame Myself, I can’t even stream it on AM now, I’ll have to find a download link for the album. Like jfc who approved that?

    It’s funny because in The Guardian interview, the interviewer lists controversial artists at that time…Gaga, Miley, etc and Lana said those artists go out of their way to incite criticism, and she does not (besides the odd lyric here and there, which is accurate I would say) 

     

    QFTC seemed to mirror that portion of the interview to me…..I don’t remember word for word what she even said, but I feel like the sentiments were the same. She got it bad from that because all the artists she listed were black or of color, but she was just listing popular artists in the US at the time….it wasn’t particularly racially motivated.

     

    But that’s why I wish she would stop giving in to the naysayers….she has to realize some of her lyrical content DOES invite criticism, no matter if it’s just the weird one liner about drugs or domestic abuse. Shit like that will draw attention. I think she’s understood this since UV and has edited herself a lot. So good for her. 

     

    I don’t think anyone could’ve anticipated the amount of backlash she got in 2020. Oh that was rough for all of us!

    Lana herself said in The Guardian that she felt the media’s attack on her during her debut was personal. That was in 2014. With statements she’s made since then, it’s safe to assume she still feels the same way, and she may be right. 
     

    But I’m tired of her always feeling the need to retort to the critics….but it gave us UV & BB so I guess I can’t complain too much.

    An album. I just wish we had more MVs. Shame she’s being mishandled - I didn’t care for POG as a song, lyrics were comical (for me) and the vocals were too, but the MV was great. Shinigami Eyes however was a major bop for me. I hope she gets it together and releases new music soon!

    I just find download links and put them in my iTunes Library - since I use Apple Music, this automatically syncs to my phone which makes for more convenient listening. This is probably the best way to store her unreleased content since Spotify doesn’t allow this to my knowledge. I believe it will sync even if you don’t use Apple Music tho - just need iTunes on your computer and your iPhone.
