I don't know if this is considered unpopular, but NFR is the album I revisit the least lately and I can't pinpoint exactly why because I don't hate the album or anything. If I do revisit it, it's usually Love Song or Bartender that I play. Maybe I overplayed it when it came out and I need some time to be able to listen o it again. Maybe those songs are for a very specific mood and I'm just not there right now.

It'll probably come out in a few years when any hope for commercial success is really dead and gone.

24 is criminally underrated. The last minute of the song is so mesmerizing and puts you in a trance. It HIT so hard when I listened to the album on acid, and since then 24 (and Swan Song) are in my top favorites from HM. 10/10 musical brilliance

I’m aware and implore you to have your own opinions. But I think it’s weird to turn them into these political like discussions. She’s written about several taboo topics - DV, drug use/abuse, depression, mental illness, suicide….but that lyric grinds your gears? You’re entitled to feel how you do, I’m just curious as to why that specific lyric drew the line for you. Lol

Right like what is this discourse? I really think some of these fans critiques about Lana showing her breasts may be rooted in fat phobia, because no one had anything negative to say when she was pretty much naked for that GQ spread in 2012/13. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with a woman in this day and age exposing her breasts like in the photos Lana took with Neil for this album. It’s very subtle to me imo. And clearly she feels confident which is a great thing! Why are we shaming her?! If you feel uncomfortable or disgusted by seeing those pictures, I promise it is a personal problem. Some y’all really showing you’re hardcore Conservatives lol

When you think about it, she’s one of the least problematic pop stars despite all the controversy surrounding some of her one liners. Which cover is your favorite? I really love this one, I think it's a simply gorgeous photo of her. Like this looks like she's about to serve American classics and standards! OG is pretty great too though. So cute, very Lana, she's coming I like this one sorta idk. This one doesn't fit the vibe of the title track for me! But let's see what it gives when it's out. It lowkey upsets me when I see fans saying they disliked COCC, BB or even NFR. I know some of you have gripes about vocals or production, more technical things like that - and I definitely have felt like some of the material hasn't been *my speed* but I can't bring myself to call any of her recent output legitimately "bad", Lana has her styles that she sticks to and while I may find some songs more interesting than others, I think all of her songs are very pretty but I am likely biased I think perhaps in some ways the fan base has out grown Lana or Lana herself has out grown her fanbase. She is aging (and I don't mean this in a negative context) and maturing and the lyrics and sound have reflected that. I mean there's still some fans who are hoping for a BTD return to form or still have BTD+P high in album & song rankings and I get those were great eras but I think that too is reflective of how Lana has maybe out grown some of the fans she retained from those albums, but you guys are still here and I think that's lovely. You don't have to like everything an artist does surely and to critique it is quite fun sometimes too I can say for myself I hardly revisit COCC and when I do it's the same tracks (WAH, WD, DBJAG) but I think it gets a bad rep, or the people who dislike it are very vocal because I think it's 50/50 split in the fanbase and you either love it or hate it. I'm going to try and make a more conscious effort to stream it and listen to those songs because I really think the album will get better with time and fans will grow to appreciate it more ala Honeymoon. BUT I did absolutely loved BB and still frequent it these days, I think it's showcased some of her most delicate and transparent lyrical moments of her career and I am so grateful she decided to share those songs. Title track, WW, BBS, Beautiful, Living Legend, Text Book, Cherry Blossom...all immaculate beautiful tracks with so much emotion and heart in them. It's not fair this album gets critiqued quite a bit for having youtube rip leaks like it's not fair someone leaked all of her material and she really loved those songs and so do we so I am happy they were attached to a project that I felt was rather cohesive and really was like she was telling a story with the track list and it's like UV's more hopeful sister in a way. Just my random thoughts. Lana is an amazing songwriter and she has been doing this for so long! I trust and more importantly respect her artistic vision and decisions. I will always be a listener.

Did You Know That...is weak. Nothing new nothing changed same old shit. I mean it's not bad by any means, but it's just another pretty Lana number...I know the album tracks will punch though. Since it's being released in March we'll probably get 1-2 more songs before release. I hope she does music videos....would be a shame if she didn't.

Fair. But you know what I mean! If she's gonna sell out, I'ma need her to fully commit. I heard The Middle on the radio the other day and thought about how Charli recorded a version, my god did they make the correct choice because the song definitely called for someone with actual vocal talent. Her over-processed vocals would have been a monstrosity for this track. I really wish she would ditch that aspect of her music, it's so jarring.
