There was a time I did not care for Blue Jeans. I still lowkey don’t. I mean of course it’s a moment and literally better than some other girls discographies but I prefer OTTR over it. (I dunno why I also feel the need to pit these two songs against each other, so don’t ask.) Summer 2014, I literally played Florida Kilos to DEATH (and still do) - back when using iTunes was still a thing (I guess it still kinda is with AM), it had amassed over 400+ plays before the summer was over. I was literally obsessed. I feel the need to claim it as my all time favorite by her for that reason alone. I still am not sick of that damn song about cocaine. Oddly enough it’s such an addicting track that I just wanted to hear over and over on an endless loop. Pawn Shop was my go-to cry song back in the day. On a really bad day it can still make me weep. But it more invokes a feeling of extreme loneliness and sorrow for me now.

I agree with this take. It does get overlooked by the fandom because of its popularity and accessibility with non-fans. I myself never touch the song. Literally can’t remember the last time I listened to it. Still a well written, electric and revolutionary song for her. The impact that it had. Whew. Rightfully underrated. Boring tbh! Never cared for it. MV was lovely though.

If I had to choose by album: Lucky Ones (def seen quite a bit of dislike for this one at least the album version) Paradise: All of it? For some reason I feel like those songs are not as widely discussed as her other projects. Like BV, Bel Air and American. UV: Guns & Roses is an obvious answer but I’ll say FLIPSIDE just because it’s not on streaming there’s still a lot of people who don’t know it exists. Honeymoon: I wanna say 24 and Swan Song, both are genuinely mesmerizing masterpieces. LFL: Coachella and BP. I feel like these ones get a lot of flack! People don’t appreciate the sentiments in these songs like they should. NFR: I’ll say Love Song. It’s very simplistic but quite beautiful, soft and romantic. COCC: Not sure here. Maybe NAWWAL. BBS: Not sure for this either because I feel like the original 3 (BB, WW, TB) are well liked. The unreleased songs included were always loved as well. I’ll say Beautiful or VFR. For misc songs I’m going to say: I CAN FLY & Big Eyes simply because they are not on streaming and kind of get forgotten because of it as they are not even attached to one of her projects. Season of the Witch is very good. Some Things Last a Long Time, very touching and beautiful.

Random, but remember the session where she said the song was a joke? I need the tea on that. It offers somewhat of an insight to the way she creates or at least the way she was creating music at a certain point. She has so so so many unreleased demos and songs some with even multiple versions it begs the question what was the intention behind the vast amount of songs she’s created. Just a random thought. I would love to know more of the process and intention behind it all. It’s as if she was carefully curating her sound and experimenting with different styles to create the ultimate persona. Love her for that if true.

WAIT, I'm kind of in love with this one for it.... Kinda feeling the big hair moments for it too.... Fuckkk choosing a photo is gonna be so hard

Thank you for this reply! Out of these, I really like the first one and think that would be good for what I'm going for. This gesture she does is quintessential Lana to me, when I think of her mannerisms and such I think of this. I really want something that's going to call for some dark shading and detail, I don't want it to be such a simple outline I want something a lil more special. A pop of color would be nice, like that red nail contrasted with the shading of the eyemakeup might look nice but perhaps that tiny red pop of color would be mid. Just brainstorming. I really appreciate the suggestions!!! This is a really beautiful shot and would make for nice detail. But I really want something from the 2011-2013/14 years I think, for the nostalgia factor.
-
Yeah I'm definitely gonna be very selective with the tat artist I go to. I don't want this to look like shit I'm willing to drop a decent amount on it. I'm starting to feel like I want something that would allow for darker shading or whatever (sorry I don't know the terminology lol) to fill some noise in it. Like this:
-
OR please feel free to drop images of her that you think would make for good outlines on a tattoo. I saw this and it's kinda cute Wait ddddd I found the picture I had in my head. Honestly would be happy with this one outlined. What do you guys think????? Is this a bad idea will it look too simple and almost elementary?? I just don't want to do a full blown face/portrait type of tat lmao.
-
To be honest I always viewed it as kind of cringe worthy to get tattoos for artists but I truly love Lana, her songwriting her artistry her passion, and her music has had such a profound impact on me and I will be listening to her music until my last breath. Her music has provided me with so much comfort, relief, solace and pure joy and bliss....I could go on. I feel like it's not that much of a reach to get a tattoo in tribute to her as my favorite musical artist - anyone who gets to know me in real life will know how much I love her music and how much it means to me personally. All of that said, I would like to get something minimalistic and somewhat subtle. Something like below: Quite simple but I think it's something I would wear proudly. The issue is finding the perfect image of her to outline. I would not like to get a replica tattoo, nor do I want to use the outline of something well known like the BTD album cover one above. I can't find the picture I'm thinking of, but I am envisioning one where like has her hair in her hands. Like this pose: Can anyone drop some pics where she's making this pose? Particularly from photoshoots or any HQ candids with good composition. Please someone help me find the perfect photo for this!!!!

She is delusional then. Anyway, who is she???

"LANA DEL POP" ALBUM COVER: TRACKLISTING would go something like: 1. Queen of Disaster 2. Serial Killer 3. Go Go Dancer 4. Ooh Baby 5. Damn You 6. Resistance 7. Prom Song (Gone Wrong) 8. Meet Me In The Pale Moonlight 9. Lift Your Eyes 10. Jealous Girl 11. Every Man Gets His Wish 12. Beautiful Player 13. Girl That Got Away 14. Fake Diamond 15. Kinda Outta Luck 16. Hit & Run POP PERFECTION. COMING FOR 12 WEEKS #1 ON BB 200 WITH 6 #1 SINGLES. WOULD LITERALLY SLAY THE MUSIC INDUSTRY.

Are we still listening to Crash tbh? I really only use the deluxe tracks now tbh....they kinda ate the rest of the album for me. Lightning too obv that's pop perfection. Constant Repeat & Twice to a lesser extent too. But other than dat, I'm over the album.
-
Completely ruined by Tommy Cash's cringe worthy contribution. Otherwise a jam. Lucky & Track 10 are the best songs on this EP btw.

ALSO: Lust For Life really gets a bad wrap with the fandom. This was a really ambitious record for her and it felt like she had some messages she really wanted to get across. There's a unifying feeling about the album that I really enjoy and makes for sweet listening. Change is the essential song of the album to me, because it sort of encompasses everything I feel she was trying to do and say with the album. I love how she completely changed Beautiful People from a song about suicide, to a song about empowering humanity - it really felt like a big warm hug to us for her to do that. It's inspiring tbh. Plus Get Free too, there's another record where I feel like she was showcasing change and healing. I really appreciate the album a lot for these moments alone. Also, Tomorrow Never Came is truly a beautiful song. It feels like a song from the 60s-70s in that, it's such a simple yet beautifully written song that could be from that era of music. The Sean Lennon feature was everything and a moment I'm sure for Lana herself! The chorus and bridge to this song is EVERYTHING. This song gives me chills tbh. Then we have the songs on that album that feel like CLASSIC Lana, like Cherry, 13 Beaches, Heroin, and LOVE. Though Love is not well liked from what I've seen, it was a great lead for the album it's on, a very lighthearted single from Lana I think we all needed that at the time. All in all, it gets a really bad wrap and I'm tired! It's one of her best works. AND COACHELLA IS NOT A BAD SONG, IT IS ACTUALLY REALLY BEAUTIFUL LET'S STOP THE HATE.

This isn't really an unpopular opinion, but doesn't anyone else literally not touch Video Games anymore? I listen to Born To Die pretty often and use a lot of the songs but I literally can't remember the last time I went to listen to Video Games....I dunno why, I still love it and think it's an amazing song. Maybe the nostalgia is holds for me is too strong and I don't want to get overly emotional listening to it because it really just takes me back for some reason...but yeah I never touch it.
-
A lot of Lana's songs are repetitive tho. Cruel World is very repetitive but it's universally loved by the fandom....but literally the last few minutes are her repeating the same verse with 1-2 lyrical changes dddd. I kinda understand the Guns & Roses hate but at the same time it's far from her worst and is actually a nice song. I particularly enjoy the bridge, it's heavenly. I think it's just somewhat of a filler song on an incredibly album so it gets a bad wrap. Definitely more "subdued" than other tracks on UV. But still good...I mean she can't make bad music that's for sure!

Lindsay is a disgusting joke. A cocaine addicted, Weinstein enabling, Dubai prostituting washed up Hollywood star. What Lana does has class to it. mod note: user has been warned for this post
