ALSO!! "Topanga's hot tonight, the city by the bay" Is probably about this GORGEOUS scenic drive (since the actual city isn't really by the "bay", the scenic road named with the city is by the bay). It starts all the way at Santa Monica, makes it halfway down to Malibu, then goes up an INCREDIBLE road with a cool tunnel (with sort of yellow lights) and everything. If you have a Lana day planned or sometbing tbis should absolutely be part of it. It sounds crazy but I always feel like a little bit of her is in the air on that drive after midnight, it's where she's said she would write lots of her songs back in the day and there are so many moments when you can SEE lyrics in real life

If you have time, make the drive up towards San Jacinto State Park. On the way there you pass Glendale, Pasadena, Arcadia, etc. On the way back you can see the freeway exit that says "Sierra Madre" and right behind it is a mountain shaped like boobs (maintaining my theory that is where the lyrics came to her) It's not a touristy thing and is more of a chill activity so if you're in the mood to have fun skip it.
