this album is shaping up to be an experience candy necklace and jon batiste interlude are gonna be the most jazzy songs and they deserve more love! and the instrumentation of paris texas confirms my thoughts of it having massive lizzy & white dress vibes very excited for the whole album honestly and i'm sure we won't be disappointed also jim keltner plays drums on ocean blvd? i think i saw his name in the credits before but i just assumed it was someone else with the same name... this is so iconic

oof such a sore subject for me because i always tend to associate songs with people and places and times and when they're over i can't listen to these songs anymore lana must be the only artist i've been listening to for so long consistently the only exception might be cocc... it came out in a weird time for me. and when the three singles followed, text book almost helped me realize what was wrong and how to deal with it. knowing most of cocc was probably about sean and they've already broke up by the moment it came out, and it's probably the reason lana wanted to move on to another album so quickly... i was going through exactly the same and now i associate cocc with that feeling of trying to hold on to the old feelings and relationships when you know it's basically over, when bb on the contrary feels like a... liberation? ever since i fell out of love with you i fell back in love with me. i rly love the title track, wah, dbjag but i can hardly listen to them without thinking about it. hopefully i'll be able to reclaim them soon tho. me and lana's music have been through too much together lmao sorry for the rant but i had to do it thank you for this thread

i think the main elements about it is its western/americana vibe and visuals and the iconic nastassja kinski's pink sweater look that early lana was clearly inspired by makes me think of something like cocc meets aka/btd...

the vibes in this thread are getting weird anyway. i had flu and a high fever for like 3 days and ocean blvd was the first song i listened to when i got better, and it sounded so amazing and fresh and magical almost. can't believe it's been almost a month and i can only imagine what we're getting with this album. i actually love the fact we know so little i'm sure we're getting a new single (and maybe the tracklist) end of january/february, and perhaps another one right before the album.

i think it's a bridge tbh. i was kinda disappointed when it started as something calm but it develops in something very emotional so fast, and those strings after "i can't"... idk it's a very good bidge to me

we've been robbed of lyric sheets in vinyl for too long... the album being wordy means we need them even more but i'm afraid the lyrics just won't fit on the sleeves maybe there will be lyrics for at least a few songs like bb

the way i saw the fake tracklist yesterday and the bleachers collab was titled she loves you and i thought we were getting a beatles cover i just know it would be a slay though!
