    Song vs. Song

Is This Happiness vs Yes To Heaven
  2. That's right, the song is not on her albums and I barely listen to radio except in supermarkets :-)
  3. I heard the song some weeks ago in a supermarket radio. Didn't know that Lana was singing there at all, but when I heard her I had to stop my shopping to listen, because I was so stunned.
  4. As we know BB was intended as a summer album. I suspect that "Arcadia" (which has autumn vibes for me) was a very late idea and upset all plans or there were difficulties with the record production.
  5. Hello, I evaluated the stream statistics from Spotify to find out which are currently her most popular songs there. To be fair I didn't just take the absolute numbers, but also took into account when the song or album was released (assuming that the song was uploaded to Spotify at that time). So I divided the stream count (in millions) by the number of days since the release date (see rate in parenthesis). The result is a bit surprising, newer songs especially from NFR have more streams per day than classics from Honeymoon, UV or BTD, but see for yourself: Don't Call Me Angel (0.3734, Charlie's Angels) Arcadia (0.3158, BB) Chemtrails Over The Country Club (0.2753, COCC) Doin' Time (0.2291, NFR) Young and Beautiful (0.1839, The Great Gatsby) Fuck it I love you (0.1424, NFR) Love (0.1373, LFL) Let Me Love You Like A Woman (0.1367, COCC) Lust For Life (0.1298, LFL) Norman Fucking Rockwell (0.1282, NFR) Cinnamon Girl (0.1256, NFR) Summertime Sadness (0.1253, BTD) Video Games (0.1217, BTD) White Dress (0.1193, COCC) Happiness is a butterfly (0.1141, NFR) Hope is a dangerous thing (0.1089, NFR) Mariners Apartment Complex (0.1062, NFR) Born To Die (0.0983, BTD) Love Song (0.0883, NFR) Tulsa Jesus Freak (0.0870, COCC) Venice Bitch (0.0827, NFR) The greatest (0.0790, NFR) Blue Jeans (0.0777, BTD) High By The Beach (0.0754, Honeymoon) Blue Banisters (0.0746, BB) Cherry (0.0727, LFL) West Coast (0.0716, UV) California (0.0713, NFR) Stargirl Interlude (0.0692, Starboy) Dark But Just A Game (0.0677, COCC) Summer Bummer (0.0670, LFL) Brooklyn Baby (0.0669, UV) Secret Life (0.0667, Take The Sadness Out Of Saturday Night) How to disappear (0.0643, NFR) Hallucinogenics (0.0629) Wild At Heart (0.0625, COCC) National Anthem (0.0587, BTD) Dark Paradise (0.0576, BTD) Ride (0.0575, Paradise) Text Book (0.0554, BB) Yosemite (0.0531, COCC) 13 Beaches (0.0521, LFL) White Mustang (0.0519, LFL) Not All Who Wander Are Lost (0.0500, COCC) Breaking Up Slowly (0.0500, COCC) The Next Best American Record (0.0482, NFR) Wildflower Wildfire (0.0462, BB) Bartender (0.0458, NFR) In My Feelings (0.0447, LFL) Groupie Love (0.0446, LFL) (https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1eKj3qO38IZDJNBjurlEeh) I'm curious how the list will be looking after the release of the album in three and a half weeks.
  6. If she actually wasn't the skater, I wouldn't mind because she's telling about earlier times in the song. So we have to imagine how she looked when she was "down on Orlando when she was only 19".
  7. now when she posts something, instagram crashes
  8. HM could be the soundtrack of an unmade James Bond movie
  9. In 'Text Book' I hear "ice cream for them" instead of "I scream for them", always funny. And in 'Kill Kill' I hear 'I'm in love with a diamond' instead 'dying man'
  10. If you look on Spotify at the number of songs with more than 100 million streams and respect the release date, NFR is relatively successful compared to other Lana albums: COCC (2021): 0 NFR (2019): 4 LFL (2017): 4 Honeymoon (2015): 1 UV (2014): 3 Paradise (2012): 1 BTD (2012): 10
  11. Currently top place, because I've listened a little bit too much to the other albums ...

Terrence Loves You vs God Knows I Tried
  13. She will set new standards I hope, but only if she has the heart to not release too many of her older songs.
  14. She mentions this hotel as a favour for Paris Hiltons popular comment in the Venice Bitch video.
  15. this song is so underrated, touches me deeply
  16. I think this line is often misinterpreted. She's only citing a contemporary event. Citing is an important part of her artwork, recently I've read an interesting essay about it (in german).
  17. What I like best in 'Blue Banisters': her varied voice carries the whole song, there's only a slight piano accompaniment and nothing more. It's a really brilliant performance!
  18. If everyone has another favourite song it will be a good album, I mean it will excite a larger audience.
  19. I think it was said before, but for me it's the experimental Venice Bitch on this album
  20. all scrapped songs from uv are among her best unreleased https://lanadelrey.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Ultraviolence_outtakes
