  1. What annoys me the most is the unconditional support in my country for Israel, I mean even Biden has criticized Netanyahu, and just recently the Germans also rejected a ceasefire demanded by the EU. It makes me kind of angry.
  2. If you don't read too much into it, the letter is only about advocating for the release of the hostages, which isn't wrong. However, this doesn't mean that the signatories aren't also on the side of the Palestinians or that they support the bombings of Israel, especially since peaceful coexistence is also mentioned.
  3. While the letter supports peace between Palestinians and Israelis, it unfortunately glosses over the oppression of Palestinians by Israelis. The other letter also supports the safe release of the hostages, but is much more balanced. I wish she had signed it instead.
  4. but most songs are stolen from unpopular artists
  5. Happy Birthday, Blue Banisters! The two years seem like an eternity to me because so much has changed since then. This was the first album release that I experienced as a fan, so maybe that's why it felt a little more intense to me.

My Love Mine All Mine is still top 13 on Spotify with around 3,5 million daily streams and now also number 1 on Genius https://genius.com/#top-songs
  7. lately I've been noticing the name "Lake Placid" a lot and I think that would be a good album title too
  8. I think the song is pretty well done, Holly's voice is distinctive, especially the way she sings "suburban", and I also like the outro. Lana's voice is not too prominent, more supportive, but also not too unobtrusive. Both voices harmonize very well.
  9. the song is growing on me, somehow it has the right mood for this rainy, windy and cold autumn day
  10. I don't know if someone mentioned it before, but she also left a comment on stereogum insta post https://www.stereogum.com/2239796/lana-del-rey-joins-holly-macve-on-new-song-suburban-house/music/ https://www.instagram.com/p/CyjvW2Vsd2J/?igshid=NjIwNzIyMDk2Mg== "That is true, my uncle was able to get me in without me even knowing that I was going, my mother worked in special education, and my dad made furniture and was a real estate agent. When he got into domains what he bought wasn’t worth anything until I was at least 22 and even then just because he bought them it didn’t mean that he could sell them. It wasn’t even until the last seven years that some of the words he bought became slightly more valuable. there were fights in the house constantly over money, and who would have to work two jobs to make enough. If you speak to anyone from that part of that private school or college, they wouldn’t even be able to tell you anything about me because no one spoke to me at either college or high school. The only friends I had were at my local public school that I left when I was 15." and she replied to another comments
  11. there's a statement about poverty in Lake Placid (2000) in Wikipedia: "About 8.5% of families and 13.2% of the population were below the poverty line, including 13.3% of those under age 18 and 17.8% of those age 65 or over."
  12. nice song, their voices aren't so different, but the melody somehow sounds familiar to me
  13. I choose to believe her, I mean why else would she have signed that unfavorable contract with 5 Points Records? It is clear from her biography that she needed all the money and that nothing was given to her.
  14. her father told the opposite, so I don't know what to believe maybe he invested all the money, so they really didn't have much for themselves
  15. there's also an article about it https://uproxx.com/pop/did-lana-del-rey-grow-up-rich-family/
  16. two days ago was Nikki's birthday https://www.instagram.com/p/CyhFawoJQDB/
  17. I prefer collabs with unknown artists who have a good voice more than with artists who just have a big name.
