I'm staying calm because I remember Love being registered as Young in Love, so it could well be that we still get Yosemite on the tracklist, merely registered under a different name

I'm fine (not delighted, but fine) with Lana doing what she did with UV and HM, which was a sorta quiet promo campaign where she released a couple songs and videos and did some print interviews. My problem this time is that everything is so unnecessarily drawn out and protracted. There's no reason for there to be such a long gap between everything she does. We've never had an era where we've had to wait this long and we don't even have a tracklist or a preorder. There's little to no communication from her personally - half our information comes from magazines and the rest from literally pulling scraps off various sites. And finally, it's bizarre to see an artist I've always respected for her vision start an album campaign and fundamentally add to her album in terms of features and songs *during* the album campaign - it worries me that she seems to be set to release a disjointed and incohesive album with a mish mash of different ideas both musically and thematically. She's really lost me this era, all I'm doing is waiting for the album and hoping that in the end the music will be worth it.

interview is meh (two artists jerking each other off relentlessly) but the pictures are incredible. probably my favourite shoot this era, only bc the lachapelle ones are composites

this is the most protracted and unnecessarily tortuous album era yet. at least she got uv and HM out pretty rapidly once the first single dropped.

That's true. Love was recorded back in summer 2016 - I would imagine that Lana has upped her security since noticing and talking to Eclipse late last year.

I theoretically shouldn't like Don't Play but I fucking can't stop listening to it - it's probably one of my favourites even despite the Parmesan line

Eclipse has been great with actual info and old songs but I honestly doubt anyone has stuff recorded as recently as March

I can definitely see Roses Bloom For You becoming the next Life is Beautiful... watch her pretend it's already released when we're still thirsting over it in spring 2018

I love the song in the clip. Her vocals are beautiful and the melody clicks.

"we picked the best ones" really worries me as it implies there's more than one song in this vein. I will reserve judgement until the song's actually out, but the snippet is probably the first snippet of hers where I'm not really desperate to hear the full song.

A really really solid album that I can really enjoy. The best songs on badlands are better than the best songs on HFK, but the worst songs on Badlands are also much worse than the worst songs on HFK. Despite my personal distaste for some of the shit she does I really do enjoy this album. Eyes Closed is fantastic. Strangers has that great Emotion-esque production.

Every artist has "good" and "not-so-good" live performances. One "not-so-good" performance is not necessarily indicative of a long term decline. Her 2015 Endless Summer show at Woodlands, TX had some of her best live vocals ever.

AFAIK: from UV she's never sang Sad Girl, Pretty When You Cry, The Other Woman, Black Beauty, Guns and Roses, Flipside or Is This Happiness. The only HM songs she's performed live are Honeymoon,Terrence Loves You, High by the Beach and Freak.
