bro all trending lana related videos on social media are “before and after” ones i constantly see them on instagram and youtube, i’ve seen like 11 variations at this point. oh no

love how all of the grants have posted about this album except for lana she really does not use social media and i love that for her

wow these titles are so beautiful and what i envisioned tunnel’s tracklist to look like!!

right the lyrics were extremely solid on crybaby, great storytelling and lots of cleverness/creativity. almost every track was a standout. then things fell apart in k-12. i haven’t even listened to that album fully because her lyricism was weak, i was bored most of the time, and no song really stood out to me besides show & tell, strawberry shortcake, and maybe teacher’s pet. portals will determine whether i’ll be a fan of melanie or not. i was obsessed with her when she debuted, but since then i’ve kinda grown out of the whole melanie martinez/marina and the diamonds/halsey early 2010s tumblr music, and i don’t care for those artists’ newer stuff. so we’ll see if her new album captures my attention. i like the snippets we got and love the strange-ethereal-fairy aesthetic, hopefully this album is a large step up from k-12.

correct, eclipse said that the single Setting Sail On A Distant Horizon is out this friday. and rob’s album is called Lost At Sea but we don’t know a release date for it yet.

my impression of this album is that it is absolutely essential to have the lyrics pulled up while listening. the jimmy coco part is so memorable, that the first half of a&w can get lost. not on lanaboards, but certainly on social media i’ve seen people say they didn’t pay much attention until part 2 or want more songs like part 2, which to me completely erases the whole song and its meaning. like damn you’re just gonna ignore her songwriting?
