the fact that nicki doesn’t have a grammy (even tho she’s arguably the best female rapper of the 2010s) is proof enough that shit is rigged and there’s a lot going on behind the scenes. billie eilish winning 5 fucking grammys in one night is laughable, and nfr getting snubbed makes it more obvious that the grammys isn’t about quality/talent but about money. king zayn said it himself:

as someone else said i meant it’s insulting when critics trash her entire discography while upholding nfr as her magnum opus. everyone can have their fave album and idc if the fandom absolutely loves it, obviously everyone is entitled to their opinion. there’s no objective measure for which album is better overall, but with lyrics…i think that’s more objective in terms of creativity, melody, use of figurative language, imagery, etc and honeymoon just wins in those categories. also i exaggerate my hate for nfr it’s not even my least fave. kumbaya xx

i think that’s why i get so annoyed about nfr’s hype, to be a lana fan and to know her writing deeply and to have listened to honeymoon, it feels insulting when people say nfr’s the best album or her songwriting highlight. of course the writing is great, it’s lana del rey after all, but nothing on it compares to blackest day, honeymoon, religion, terrence loves you, swan song.

that had me seething. nfr is nowhere near her best songwriting, pissed me off so much to see that being said. anything on honeymoon already tops that album lyrically and sonically. even bb is better written.

bb is my 3rd fave lana album and i will not be tolerating the slander. some of you bitches haven’t healed yet so you can’t appreciate the vibes on it. meanwhile i was meditating at the park to violets for roses it’s such a peaceful album, i remember i was having an anxiety attack and arcadia just calmed me down so much. plus to most people, the songs on it were new. the only unreleased songs i recognized were cherry blossom & nectar of the gods

once again let’s not call dykttatuob a piano ballad album until we hear it…piano driven sure, but that doesn’t mean they’re all ballads and we literally don’t know what the production is gonna sound like and what instruments will be added.
