if people have the willpower not to definitely dont because it'll sound soooo much better in high quality. I just listened to the grants on Apple Music and for the first time noticed so many subtle instruments/inflections in the back of my headphones. peppers sounds like it has the most complex production of any song on the album thus far so it needs to be heard in maxxxximum qual

One of the things im loving about this album (so far) is that she's really managing to combine all of her different styles over the years into something very original and cohesive. like with peppers, for example, she Lana has always had the trap side, the piano ballad side and the psychedelic rock side, and I think Fuck it I Love You was the first time she found a unique way of combing those different sides into one concentrated song. So far every track on Ocean Blvd feels like it's all part of one cohesive body of work, even though they're not all the same genre. Like I love Honeymoon, but the title track doesn't sound to me like it's from the same album as High by The Beach, and HBTB doesn't sound like it's from the same album as Religion (at least in my opinion.)

This is the only reason I want her to win a grammy. I also don't have respect for The Grammy's and wouldn't trust them as a barometer of quality, I just want her to finally receive that industry recognition. As you pointed out, she's an artist's artist, meaning that some of her biggest fans are actually artists themselves, and I could give another thousand examples of celebrities saying that Lana is their number 1 and that she "just keeps getting better" and hopefully the academy will reflect that sentiment. While I agree that Ocean Blvd is shaping up to less accessible than previous works, the idealist in me believes that, if the songs are good enough, their untraditional structure won't necessarily make them unaccessible. The two interludes seem to be the most unaccessible, but they're interludes, and as for something like Fingertips, I can't envision people discounting the other 13-15 incredible tracks because they find one song 'too weird.' So yeah, could be the idealist in me but I really do think she has a chance (of at least being nominated.)

I think that line (all the way to "im a ghost now") has beaten out my previously held favourite verse of Lana's (v2 of get free where she sings about "there's no more chasing rainbows"). there's so many ways to interpret this verse, and the mystery surrounding what exactly she's saying in the final recording, and the way its sung... ugh I really love A&W.

The interviewer could not hide how little she knew/cared about Lana… like what were those questions? at least Lana gave us something… an explanation for the intro. But still. now where’s that surprise? bozo - I know you’re lurking these forums hoping people forgot about you… you have until the end of this week for this massive unexpected overdue surprise to reveal itself. deactivating won’t save you from the wrath of a thousand Lana fans
