I stole this from a random reddit post but this is quite interesting and I hadn’t made this connection: So many references to Lana's unreleased song Yes To Heaven. "Do you think about heaven" - "Say yes to heaven" "Do you think about me" - "Say yes to me" "I'm gonna take mind of you with me" - "I've got my mind on you" "Should I do a dance for once" - "If you dance I'll dance"

My last post before I force myself to get back to work... of the songs I've heard, here's my colour associations: the grants - earthy browns, autumn leaves and deep ocean-blues that turn into a lighter sky-blue as the song progresses ocean blvd - ivory white and dirty, stained porcelain over dark blues, with a few tiny bits of neon blue when the piano dances over verse 2 sweet - earthy browns, autumn leaves and deep forest greens, occasional yellow like her shirt in the Arcadia video a&w - faded sepia tones, almost black and white, and when the beat switches it goes dirty gun-metal, oil, smoke, petrol and electric blues fingertips - all very light baby-pink, baby-yellow, baby-blue and lots of smoky grey over everything. ok now do yours, bye

the way she says actually gives me chills. fingertips is now my favourite song from the album, and I didn't even like it the first time I heard it. completely flawed. alsoooo does this board die off after the album comes out? because its been great wasting hours of my life browsing this thread instead of working for the past month...

you could very well be right, idk. on TikTok it did sound like she was singing that, but other things she sang in that same video were clearly different to the finished song, and people came to the conclusion that this was recorded while driving around, still writing the song, and that she posted it to give us clues as to what the song was about before refining the lyrics. I just listened to the song again and it really does sound like she says 'gods a charlatan, dont look back babe' which is what it says on Apple Music, but yeah I guess it could be wrong.

no offence dude but you're literally the only one being combative. I wrote that art should be challenging, you said "thats all fine and dandy that you dont care but other people might" so I said "then don't listen." and then you called me a horn tooter coming out of the woodwork???? lol ANYWAY - I dont want to argue with strangers on the internet, lets agree to disagree, and not name call while we're at it.
