  1. Hmmm confused by the presale dates/programs. I might try and get a ticket if it’s not too expensive. Not sure I qualify for any of the presales. The venue by me is pretty close and also not one that’s too crazy, so that’s a plus.
  2. I replied to Kinetics insta story about Tunnel Vision and told him I hope to see more K&OL songs on the deluxe and that they make magic together with Melanie, and he said ‘thank you!’. I tried
  3. The Walmart “Lavender” (white)
  4. Tempted to rename Womb to I’m Coming/I’m Cumming
  5. Crybaby: -Tag You’re It -Mad Hatter - Mrs Potato Head K-12 (none LOL….ok ok ..) -Drama Club -Detention -Show and Tell After School -Glued Portals -Tunnel Vision -Evil -Womb
  6. My splatter vinyl came! It actually sounds great for being so much music on one LP. The pressing isn’t as cool as the mock-up but still nice. The pink turned more gray with the black mixing in.
  7. Some of the comments were wondering if it’s actually her team or something fan made. If it is real, it’s very cringe. If it’s fan made, it’s hurting her image.
  8. I’m convinced that the rah rah rah outro on TV is a hex or a diss track in faerie language for poor K&OL
  9. Battle of the Larynx for me is not holding up well against the other songs. Most of the reaction videos I’ve seen don’t like it either. It’s so sonically similar to Evil, and to a lesser extent Void. I think those each deserve a spot on the album, but I really wonder what she replaced by adding BOTL at the end of the process. It’s very repetitive, seems a bit rushed, didn’t take enough time to fully flesh it out. And now learning she likely did the vocals on her iPhone. I hadn’t been listening to Nymphology on my own Portals version and gave it another shot, it’s a no . So my skips are Light Shower, Spider Web, and Nymphology (not skipping BOTL, it’s not bad, just not great)
  10. Thank you so much for explaining that makes sense!
  11. @rabbit boi @Salem Im curious what this means (16 kHz, upscale, etc). I definitely try and get into audio type stuff but my knowledge is limited and I’m curious
  12. To be fair I don’t like the visual concept 99% of the time, but putting that all aside, I like the cover Its also one of the few pictures that isn’t somehow blurry or out of focus. So much of the artwork from this era has a weird blurred filter, I think they applied the same effect to the production on Evil
  13. I’ve honestly grown to love the standard cover. I really like the mushrooms and it’s one of the better looks she’s had in that costume imo.
  14. So apparently she was over an hour late to the meet and greet. Also this
  15. Wasn’t someone here going to the meet and greet? She actually had a cute dress on. 0% surprised she wore the costume but like, kinda lame to meet someone famous and not be able to even see them behind a mask Someone better have asked about the Deluxe
  16. All these reaction videos love that Tunnel Vision intro, little do they know there is an entire song that sounds like that
  17. Finally the reaction Tunnel Vision deserves https://www.tiktok.com/@amir.karaman/video/7217152133748034859 (I know he’s like super extra but he’s kinda funny)
  18. April fools. Got it. He still sucks.
  19. https://www.albumoftheyear.org/album/612668-melanie-martinez-portals.php Rolling Stone gave an 8/10. It goes down from there….
  20. same his face for Moon Cycle and the penis line, and then he said the song was about cutting off cocks I screamed
  21. I liked this one, despite the ridiculous cover for the video. Except he didn’t like the pussy line on TV
  22. She irritates me so much 😭. YouTube is always suggesting her to me. Can’t even get through the spoken intro to Sirens without 4 pauses and a monologue 😭 But she knows what’s up, ‘why is this unreleased’ exactly Edit: ‘this and Orange Juice are her best songs’ . Said no one ever.
  23. Yeah there’s definitely something going on with the mixing, but I can’t quite tell if it’s intentional. I went to the listening party, and even with a crowd, Evil sounded really off to me from the first time I heard it. It seems more present in the verses than the chorus, which again leads me to believe it was a stylist choice. As for her ‘buried’ vocals I think it’s something similar. Lots of different effects used on different songs. She did pretty much work with one producer on this (aside from TV, but that’s a whole discussion pages ago). He is someone she has worked with some before (Pity Party, Cake, etc), but never as much as she did on this record. Perhaps his technique is somewhat different. One Love was truly her best producer. I’ll blame CJ Baran
