Very weird that some people's attachment or appreciation of an album comes down to the ~pre-release discussions~ on fan forums leading up to the album and how long ago those discussions took place in relation to the album's release date.... and.... not the actual album, yknow, the SONGS. Like, okay werk. You f words need to go outside.

Slut Pop is not just a bad album for Kim and a stain on her career, a very obvious attempt to hop on the trend set by Ayesha and Slayyyter and other artists in her space, but it is genuinely the worst album I have ever had the displeasure to listen to. The entire EP is a disjointed, amateur, cringe of a mess. How anyone can listen to that “music” and find it anything but trite garbage is baffling to me. I’ve never been made speechless by how bad a song was until I listened to Slut Pop. Yall really gotta stop comparing it to Slayyyters tracks because Throatzilla and all of her other “sex” songs have better production and lyricisms, more charisma in the performance, the list goes on than anything Slut Pop even dreams of being.

Yeah I agree those two songs are hands down not only the worst on the tracklist but my least favorite of all of the finished sessions leaks. Rhinestone Heart in particular is just not it. And I love Heartbeat Away so much. Still will be streaming the whole album nonstop for months i dont care but yeah.

Erotic Electronic sounds so good in the final cut compared to the leak that I heard. I'm glad I ignored this track in particular for whatever reason leading up to release because it sounds so awesome now. And the video.... I was GAGGED the entire runtime. Just crazy! She did THAT! Like this is why I stan this bitch because who else could do this

The venue in my city is literally a block away from my house like if thats not destiny….

I mean she had so many good songs from the leaks that the tracklist could have been wildly different and still would have been a great album overall. Like Heartbeat Away, Spend the Night, Make Up, My Replacement, Happy Forever, Valentine, Psycho Lover all could have been on this album and it is a shaaaaame they wont be released especially if the deluxe isn't happening. She has Tommy completely mastered and other songs she performed that are new not even on this album. So there has to be some reason for that if not a deluxe coming out. I'm still holding out hope. But in the meantime I am obsessed with Starfucker as it is right now and cant wait for the vinyls to ship.

Lets not begin the conversation with a Taylor stan about what god awful music sounds like, anyways. Very surprised to see the next single is Erotic Electronic. She did mention there was potentially a "DIY music video for this song and the next one". I bet that means I Love Hollywood will be released next and right before / on the day of the album release. The cover art with the silhouette of the guy pulling the blinds looks soooo good.

I love the album and theres only like one or two songs on the final tracklist that I dont agree should have made it. But I say that for EVERY album for EVERY artist I listen to. If I hadnt known about the leaks I dont even think Id think about the tracklist having one or two weak tracks tbh like every album just has a few. It just sucks knowing how many great songs she made in the sessions that wont make it to see light of day, its unfortunate. Ill just have to cry while playing Heartbeat Away and My Replacement.

She also answered a question on live about Slayyyter with a positive answer. Seems like the ball is in her court now towards Ayesha but I can see Cathy getting very irritated with everyone bombarding her to get back with Ayesha while she is in a different type of music era considering how much she wants to move away from the "hyperpop" allegations. Also I find it very funny all the Ayesha stans who have always been so defensive about the use of that genre term towards her music when her new stuff is even-more-so. I really do think it would be fun to see them do one more song together with Ayesha's return, but then that can be that and everyone can move on. edit: "I think I'm going to see her soon."

I dunno I'm the opposite I feel like purr and plastic are perfect for this album but Rhinestone Heart and girl like me are not it. Also Tear Me Open should have been the final track, Out of Time should have been like in the middle track 6 before the destructive run of Erotic Electronic, purr, plastic.

the way I lost my mind the millisecond my brain processed the album cover like WOOOOW!!!!!!! It is absolutely SHOWSTOPPING! Way, way, way beyond what I was expecting and could have ever imagined. So theres only like 3 tracks im not thrilled with being on the album. But overall I think its going to be her best. There is like something for everyone. I see the vision. This album is literally like…. at the level of a major label album. Like icon status type of album. Im so excited. I preordered both vinyls the cd and a shirt so Cathy if youre reading this Im sorry I listened to the leaks but I told you I would be PURCHASING lmao! but now she is performing songs that arent leaked and arent on the album… so that can only mean Deluxe? Or another album not too far long after this one even? Idk her release schedule is so unpredictable.

Yeah I feel like shes been really back and forth with handling the topic of problematique. Was it scrapped? Before, or after the leaks? Was she happy about that or was she sad? Was she supposed to tell people to go find the leaks, or wasnt she? Like girl can we pick one side of the story and stick to it lol!

Blown away by the footage Ive been seeing of the Boiler Room set. The background visuals, the new song and plastic, Starfucker title all but basically confirmed. Its really all coming together. When she said this album was going to be “a more elevated version of the mixtape” it becomes so clear with that boiler room set. Like its giving the same hypersexual aesthetics of her first album but a darker more elegant vibe than the neon pink mcbling of the original album. With songs like purr and plastic, erotic electronic, and this new song… mixed with the more ‘mainstream’ Out of Time and Miss Belladonna like yeah its all coming together. She really somehow managed to balance her old music, and a new sound, nostalgic aesthetics, and modern ones. Like all in one. Its crazy! I really just hope she is able to bring this type of visual she showed at Boiler Room more into the album visuals in a music video or something.

The discourse over this song is crazy tbh. Its a vapid club pop song for twinks but youd think the next chapter of the bible just dropped the way its being analyzed online. If you didnt like the video why obsess over it? like just be done with it, move on. Put your energy into other artists who have the same sensibilities you do instead of trying to force everyone to cater to you.
