  1. I'd love to see her put in at least a minimal effort promoting it too (her singing to the song on her instagram doesn't count....), but you know it will never happen. Promoting her music is a concept our girl is no longer subscribing to.
  2. FEAR is so much better than LOVE to my ears! I'm loving all the tracks. Soft to Be Strong just broke my heart, what a beautiful song. The line "Somebody hurt me long ago, and though to heal a heart is slow, it's just a consequence of pain" just had me ugly crying, it spoke to me on a personal level.
  3. Using the site above I got Elle Fanning, Dakota Fanning, Heather Graham, and Emma Stone. I'm not flattered tbh, even if I think it's partly bullshit lol. Fun thread tho!
  4. She looks so beautiful here <3 Best pic I've seen of her in a good while.
  5. Fine China Born to Die As someone who struggles with suicidal thoughts these just makes me cry a lot cause they make me think about dying (lol sorry for being a bummer). I remember putting on the album when it came out and hearing Born to Die and just crying cause she sang everything I felt.
  6. I miss her old glamorous style. Don't get me wrong, I am 100% in it for her music - but old Lana like made me discover style
  7. I found out about the God Bless America fan collection in early 2013 and I've been a mad collector ever since.
  8. I took a break from the thread for a week or two for my mental health, but I assume we have learned nothing new
  9. I agree, I definitely have sympathy for that. I think it's more a frustration that she tends to speak out about ideas long before they have any basis in reality, so people get hyped and then stuff never comes out. Big picture, Lana has given us a lot of stuff over the years, she has a pretty big output compared to a lot of other artists out there. I'm certainly very grateful for that.
  10. There's an old story that the first king of Norway swore to not cut his hair until he was king, we should all vow to let our hair grow until we have NFR.
  11. You had one job!!! (JK, I probably would have been too shy to ask and he probably wouldn't have spilled anything anyway <3)
  12. I agree. I've been following this thread and I think you've been a good voice of reason. I've stopped listening to artists I held dear before because of things they've done, I find it hard to enjoy someone's music if they do something that I find deplorable because it just sits in the back of my head when I try to listen to their songs. I'm not there with Lana yet, not even close - just saying I agree with not following anyone blindly, no matter how much you like them. It isn't healthy. This whole Hillsong mess has me worried though. I gotta say it's the first time I feel like I've lost a bit of respect for her. I'd be extremely sad if I lost the ability to enjoy my favorite artist of seven years.
  13. Kinda mixed feelings on the album. Like about half of it, not really into the rest. Heroin tho. Hits me right in the heart. Feels like the lyrics are taken from my own diary. I may have wept a little.
  14. I think her new color is really pretty, but the blonde/red just suits her better and makes her look younger/fresher. I get her though, I dye my hair way too much. I just dyed it light auburn/copper blonde yesterday - channeling BTD.
  15. I used to not like 24, but lately it just does it for me and I listen to it all the time. I think I love it now.
  16. I love this idea, because I find MBTI interesting (I swing between INFP and INTP), but I don't feel I have a good enough grasp on it to come up with songs for types.
  17. Also, I don't really care if Lana isn't a hugely popular star or if she ever returns to her BTD pop sound. I've liked basically every song she's ever made and I'll probably go on still liking everything she does. Not every singer needs to be a pop star and make huge numbers, some thrive well with a smaller dedicated fanbase. It doesn't really seem like Lana wants to be a pop star anymore anyway, what with never doing promo anymore and all.
  18. I agree, HBHBHB is a great album and it tells a story, every song fits in its place perfectly! It's probably my favorite album of the year so far. BUT Lana is my favorite artist, so Honeymoon holds a special place in my heart - even if I think there's a lot of albums released this year that are objectively better in many ways.
  19. I think DLMBM is a great closer for the album, because of the themes of the press, paparazzi, and the critics. I feel like this cover was aimed at them.
  20. I love Lana and her music no matter what she looks like, but I can't help but miss her BTD era look. She used to look so fresh and youthful, while now she looks kinda... idk, mom-ish? And it seems to get worse with every era/year. I just can't stand her styling lately, it makes me sad.
