I think that so far TTDP has been cohesive. Midnights was not cohesive imo.
-
I hate how this album needs digesting lyrically I'm not smart enough to understand all of the lyrics at first listen lol
-
The cinematography of the new music video (based on the trailer) is giving me Poor Things vibes.
-
I paused the album for now. I'll listen to it later. Thoughts so far: as light as the album is sonically, it's lyrically something that's very difficult to digest. And tbh I don't understand most of the lyrics. That's why I gotta re-read the lyrics. I love the production because it's light but I understand when people say that she's in her comfort zone right now.

I Can Fix sounds sonically like Say Yes To Heaven. And honestly Matty doesn't deserve a beautiful album like this 😠Loml sounds like Evermore title track omfg
-
Lmao I never knew that many songs would be about Matty Healy

I'm listening to the album on tv right now and I loved Fortnight, I love the title track as well. The vibes are so lowkey and I love it so much. I definitely have to re-read the lyrics later. I can't wait for the MV, I love the vibes and style of it!

Please explain me what happened ðŸ˜

Why is this thread hot?

Why is this thread fucking hot hot winter in the city. Is there something in the weather that made kids crazy?

Tbh the reviews were definitely positive here. Even more than when Midnights dropped. I think I'mma like this album a lot even though I'm not as hardcore fan as I was in 2020-2022

Omg it's out of topic but I have loved your signature since my lurking days 🫶 we love a frog lover Also those who have listened to the album: which song has the biggest radio potential? Which one will be the lead?
-
To those who have listened: is this in your top 3 or not?
-
Would critics eat it up like her post-Folklore albums or be "meh" about it like they were about her albums pre-Folklore?
-
I'm not a Karma believer but I am a Woodvale believer 👉👈 I still think that she will release the Vault tracks from those two albums

The Brazil fans are super fast, a lot of them are already writing multiple comments on Emily's latest Instagram post, telling her that Lana should do a solo show in Brazil (and as they should tbh )

It's about the time she met Joe, actually, while she was dating Calvin. She already had a crush on Joe when she was dating Calvin. The first time they met was at Gigi Hadid's birthday party, which was few days before MET Gala (Gigi hosted the party on the 29th, so he already had a buzzcut and she had bleached hair). At the Met, she met Tom and around a month later she started dating Tom just to escape from her toxic relationship with Calvin. In September 2016, it was said that she and Tom broke up (they probably broke up in August 2016) and in late September (most likely 28th because she said that in her cover of song September where she changed the lyrics of the date) she started dating Joe.

I don't know if any of you have noticed or posted this but she already teased Henry, Come On lyrics in November ("I mean come onnnnn"), in that Instagram post's caption! (the post was about Haper Bazaar's Magazine) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cz7Ms5EPAfa/?igsh=MWRxMDc0eW04YmlkeQ==

This isn't the first time when she's talking about how she introducted Joni Mitchell to Lana Is this about a Lana interview? She wrote 160ish song with Justin Parker? For Born To Die!? ALSO JUSTIN PARKER COMPARED LANA TO PJ HARVEY!? HELL YES MY QUEENS

Maybe you're right but maybe we'll get a song where something references Matty, like she referenced Calvin in Gorgeous ("I got a boyfriend, he's older than us, he's in the club doing I don't knoe what" - Calvin is older than Taylor and he's DJing in clubs). Funny thing is that there isn't a song which is 100% about Calvin even though their relationship was like 1.5 years long or something. I do remember her saying that when she was with Calvin, she had writer's block. Their relationship was pretty toxic as well, which was referenced in Getaway Car, where the "He" was Calvin and the "You" was Tom Hiddleston ("I wanted to leave him, I needed a reason" and "He poisoned the well, I was lying to myself"). To be honest, while writing this, I forgot how brilliant Getaway Car is. I love it kinds more than Cruel Summer (CS got overplayed fast imo). It's just brilliant in terms of everything, the 80s synth beat and the Bonnie & Clyde references in lyrics.
