    Ethel Cain

I listened to Preacher's Daughter today after many months and fuck how phenomenal it is, it's so genius, well-crafted cinematic masterpiece from the start to end. Ethel is so young but she tells stories like an old poetess from a haunted forest. Definitely my 2022 AOTY. And it's a crime that she got 0 nominations at the Grammys but we already know that Grammys are corrupted... A House In Nebraska is my favorite song with Ptolomaea and Gibson Girl. I also love Family Tree + intro and Televangelism. Family Tree intro is criminally underrated
  4. It's the Lana Del Rey EP I think, which was eventually released in early January 2012
  5. I love watching the photos from this set, one of my favorite music videos ever, I just adore the aesthetics of it <3 This is my another favorite photo from this set, a fucking serve
  6. She ate that whole black dress scene in the mansion/house party, my favorite scene Honestly she should be cast in a 1930s/40s/50s period drama/historical movie or show because she gives all those vibes since the beginning and she can also act, I loved her acting in Candy Necklace in general, she was super in it!
  7. Honestly if we compare this setlist to NFR era setlist, it really isn't that different to it besides the covers and new songs &
  8. She literally was singing w random folk/country artists every show? I didn't really pay attention to NFR tour that much but she was singing w Nikki Lane, Matt Maeson and those other random folk singers, as much as i can remember
  9. Every show she was singing a cover with a country singer or something
  10. I am not against her doing a one cover in shows, like in this show but definitely another song could've been replaced with it. If she starts doing more than one cover (like three covers or something) then I would be disappointed because then she would botch up the setlist. NFR Tour's biggest flaw was that she sang more covers than the songs from NFR (and had like million unknown country singer guests whom she sang with and sang covers of). Like this is not a karaoke bar. It only worked in Hollywood Bowl when she was performing covers of iconic songs.
  11. As gorgeous as the interludes are, they need to be cut to save room for other songs, like Thunder, Cinnamon, Peppers, Honeymoon ect ect ect

    Florence + The Machine

I feel like if the band chose that title they would've been crucified by the critics for gLaMOUrIZiNg vIOLenCE, because the early 2010s critics were really harsh and quickly judgemental. The critics already blamed them for that in Kiss With A Fist too

Is it true that she has an Ancient Dreams outtake called Rolling Stone? It was in YouTube and idk it sounded kind of interesting?

    Florence + The Machine

CEREMONIALS ALT NAME WAS VIOLENCE!?!?!?!? HBHBHB WAS TANTALUS? HAH WAS THE END OF LOVE? Not gonna lie....thank god she didn't change the names, because they're iconic they way they are. Especially Ceremonials and HB3x they're the quintessential Florence. Although, Dance Fever title is kinda not so Florence...maybe it rewlly was Choreomania

She looks so happy and that makes me happy too
  17. She looked beautiful and great, I love the dress so much. It was the same Lolla dress right? It's my favorite one, so stunning. I'm still happy by the facts that Hope is on the setlist and Ocean Blvd is the closer. These songs deserve that. I'm kinda sad that she didn't sing Cherry because it's my favorite live performance songs but I'm kinda glad that she didn't sing Born To Die and Diet Mountain Dew hahah, while I love these songs, they are kind of worn out in live shows. She could easily replace these with songs from her newer albums. I think that the vocals were amazing as always. Her vocals have always slayed in this festival tour. What was the surprise though? Was it a false hope and a false promise? When i was the photo of her and Joan Baez's granddaughter, I though that Joan herself is there too and Lana was going to perform with her. But they didn't...so what was the surprise? Her cutting Cherry, Born To Die and Diet Mountain Dew? Nevertheless, I loved the show but out of all the shows - my favorites are Rio De Janeiro, São Paolo, Newport, Chicago and Arkansas shows. By setlist I love both Brazil + Newport shows - they had brilliant setlist and a perfect show and by "aesthetically" (I mean visually by outfits and stage) I loved the Lollapalooza's Chicago show - it was absolutely gorgeous. I understand if you're tired and bored that all the shows, dancers and setlists look the same but there's no need to spread the negativity, we've had worse days - like *cough* her cancelling the whole European leg in 2020 *cough* - and most importantly Lana herself is happy about it and enjoys touring around festivals and random places. I think that's the most wonderful part of it.
  18. When the show starts and she sings WALKING IS AN ART SO IS MY BODY
  19. Look, this is an unpopular opinion and it's not a hate post but... I feel so uncomfortable watching Million Dollar Man lives from 2012. I mean great for her if she experimented with her vocal ranges and I love the later part of the song where she's yelling "one for the money wowowowo and two for the showwowowow I love you honey for the very first time..." part. But the rest of the song is just too much for me, sorry. I prefer her later performances of Million Dollar Man. On the other hand, the studio version of Million Dollar Man is so overlooked, it's so beautiful, I love the train space owl loon sounds with the cinematic production and her sad vocals, I love the lyrics too, I mean the opening line: "you said I was the most exotic flower, holding me tight in our final hour" just the line is so iconic, it's so dramatic and paints a scene like in James Bond or The Godfather mafia type movie, and the word play in that song too. It's just to beautiful, it used to be in the lower ranking of Born To Die but like three weeks ago I became so interested in that song that it's in my top 3 now. It's too beautiful to not overlook it. It carries the story very well. Also Honeymoon title track should be appreciated more outside the fandom too. I feel like here most of us appreciates it but we still gotta notice how genius the composition is, the strings, piano and the marching drums, the genius bridge, elusive verses and the dreamy verses and outro. As I have said before Honeymoon and Million Dollar Man have the same aura around the sound, lyrics and the person. Just fucking genius.
  20. Wait Father John Misty sings at that festival too maybe we are getting a performance w him? imagine if she sings w Niki Zefanya tho
