The only album I write annual essays for. Its kinda crazy how its almost been a decade, quite vile really, were already halfway through the 2020's and LFL is now considered a legacy era to the tiktok kids but-
 
9 years and this album still hasn't cracked. 9 years!?? 9 years and its still aging like the finest of wines. No album will top the absolute excellence of Honeymoon. Honestly by this point not even Lana herself. This timeless classic best embodies the very essence of what LDR is. The vintage flare, the orchestral elements, the cinematic dramatics, the jazz influence, the classic ldr ballads and intoxicating melodies, it really is the essential Lana Del Rey album  
 
Honeymoon really is my all time #1 and I fear no other album can top that, but I have found peace in that  This album sits very close to my heart so its an understatement to say that its my favorite<3

I still remember the day it was released and I was obsessed from the beginning  I think it’s my top 3 fav lana albums. So cohesive and beautiful, it never gets old. I’ve been listening to honeymoon a lot this past summer too. It came out at the beginning of my senior year in high school & I associate it with many memories at the time. Ily forever <3

Happy Birthday Honeymoon!! I mean this album is just beautiful like it or hate it. Very atmospheric, cinematic & the definition of an eargasm. 24, Music To Watch Boys To, & Swan Song the masterpieces that you are…I feel like Paradise would’ve fit perfectly on this album

Fr. Also am I the only one who thinks lana should do a record sonically what the fans want from her while keeping her writing similar to what she's been doing? Or even an EP of 8-10 songs. Give the older lana stans a bone to naw on.

I have made that post like 100 times here but whenever this thread gets a little hopeless here, I'll always like to made this little reminder that since Jack is one of the producers of Lasso, we will definitely get this brilliant semi-experimental groundbreaking track by Lana and him which will be a fan-favorite!

I think she looks beautiful on the blue banisters standard cover -  her hair, the yellow dress, the whole set up is gorgeous and very aesthetically pleasing to me.

Something different, I really want Lana to do a proper jazz album. Like she always says she’s a jazz singer at the core. I need something reminiscent of Frank by Amy Winehouse. That blue skies was a tease because it was good enough to listen to, but left me wanting more. A girl can only dream..

I'm particularly excited about the Southern Gothic elements. That actually means that the album will have a certain creepy factor.

I want a hauntingly beautiful single that blends Southern Gothic with cinematic strings and subtle electronica undertones I want songs that evoke Americana nostalgia, the yearning for something lost but never forgotten—the same feeling I get when listening to Ride, Video Games, Oh Say Can You See, Pawn Shop Blues, Yayo (AKA version), Bel Air, Blue Jeans, Young & Beautiful, Honeymoon, Terrance Loves You, The Greatest.
 

idk about this, if it's re-released, hopefully the songs won't be reworked bc they'll most likely be reworked by Jack. I don't have anything against him really but I don't want him anywhere near AKA

but smarty has literally gone viral on tiktok, maybe the other songs like mermaid motel would get that kind of reception, but songs like smarty, put me in a movie, queen of the gas station, and other AKA songs would have the same reception as say yes to heaven

some reworked songs would be cool, like oh say can you see as @ScarlettHarlot said, but i think that if the full album was released it would lose it’s magic
