I agree, I shouldn't feel sorry for her. But I have to disagree in all the other stuff, she has a deal with her label to keep making albums, its not her choice, she HAD to make femme fatale, she's got one more left to do in this deal and that's the one she'll release next. No, she's not the same, at all. She is a puppet of the media, and even though I love Britney, I recognize she has NO PRESENCE, she's far from the artist she used to be, she used to be the "Princess of Pop" but she's not that anymore, she can't sing or dance anymore. She had this light and energy about her before, but people have crushed her and turned her insecure. I won't get into mind control illuminati stuff because there's no proof of it and you probably don't believe in that stuff. But you can't deny she's just a marketing instrument, people like her, so the media uses her to make money. That piece of shit song Scream and shout was only popular because she was in it. She is a good money maker. We don't know what goes through her mind, but she's different. Now about the pictures it could be photoshop, but in interviews like the one she did with Simon Cowell, it was obvious she didn't like being there, she was uncomfortable, if you watch and old interview and compare it, you'll see she has changed. Thats what I say, and I don't know how to post urls here, but you should know, she may look happy and energetic but it feels fake, cause this is not how old Britney acted. Its not a "typical" awkward where you know the person is just shy, its an awkward that makes you feel uncomfortable because you can tell the person does not know what's going on, its like she doesn't know what to do, Its like she's empty and doesn't give a fuck.

But... did you see her on x factor? She looked like she didn't want to be there. Lanaisms? lol! Body Electric can be in interpreted in so many ways, I agree with you in the influence stuff, without them Lana would be different.. But to me the song is like falling into madness, "Mary prays the rosary for my broken mind", she knows she's fucked up (Do you also hear a monster making a weird sound on the verse btw? o.o ), but she doesn't care, that's how she deals with her boy leaving her. She's very lonely...

The song doesn't have a clear meaning. It's not like Blue Jeans, Ride, National Anthem... were we know what the song is exactly about. She's giving us hints about how she feels, not telling us directly, just like in Born To Die. Dumb lyrics like "Elvis is my daddy, Marilyn's my mother", turn out to have a deep meaning. She uses metaphors, she gets more "poetic"?. We don't know what this song means, we can only assume the meaning. It's a deep song.

Body Electric is one of the few songs she has written that can be interpreted in multiple ways, the lyrics may be simple but they have a deep meaning something most of her songs don't. Id be more than happy with Body Electric kind songs, I love "poetic Lana" and a full deep disc would be cool and fit this spiritual theme she talks about.

Well I've heard this people have complete control of EVERYTHING, including the radio and television. Does this mean every artist has to join this people? Probably. That's the price for fame, I truly feel sorry too for the musicians who just want to share their art with the world, but they aren't allowed to, cause things are so different from before, it's not about sharing your feelings or making other people feel good, it's about selling records, becoming rich, popular. Money, money, money. Different, innovative, creative artists are sometimes ignored and only the untalented, good looking people get promoted, because they bring more money. Just look at reality shows and see how a good job they're doing controlling us, everyone wants to be famous, for no reason at all, they just want to be, so they go into these shows (X factor *cough* *cough*) and suddenly do become popular, and after being controlled into making certain type of music, because thats what sells, and not the music YOU WANT TO DO, you get more and more surrounded by fake people who drive you into excessive use of drugs or alcohol, and then you're fucked. If don't let them control you, you are chased, bombarded with big pay-checks that end up killing you so there's no good ending to this, unless you actually enjoy making maintream music with absolutely no meaning at all, then GOOD FOR YOU, the music business is perfect for you.

I think there-s definitively something going on, and artists are being used to manipulate the people, into only caring about sex, money, etc.. that way it-s easier for them to control us... Also I think there-s a lot of relation with drugs here, people who get on "strong" drugs tend to see the same stuff, pyramids, geometric figures, demons, and all of that stuff, so why do we all see the same? Is there some high being controlling us right now? Are we connected in some way and can make a change in the world but these "people" don't want to allow us to do it? Power is all they want. Maybe I'm going to far, but this is not a normal world, and i don't think we are meant to be born, work our asses off doin pointless shit we don't even enjoy, and then die. I beleive we have a power within ourselves but we are being fooled into thinking we don't.

Oh she can definitively hit those notes, I think her problem seems to be that she just doesn't give a fuck and sings however she feels even if it sounds funny.. Also she seems to get nervous in some performances, and sing with no technique at all, which may be why she avoids the note, but everytime she tries it it comes out, so she's probably just tense and afraid she will crack or something.. anyway yeah thats definitively part of her range.. EDIT: I don't hear any B2 anywhere.... anyone?? In Blue Velvet the lowest note is C3 and in Ride opening F3.. So I don't get why people say she's doing that note..

Oh good question. Only if they're fully connected and she has control of them. I assume she has can do it and only avoids these notes because she's nervous and doesn't want to screw it up? Also that is kind of hard note for some people and may sound "breathy", even Beyonce avoids these note sometimes.. She does the C note multiple times in Ride, and C# in Summertime but she NEVER even tries to make them live, so I guess they're not part of her range because we never actually heard her do them.. I believe she can do them but no, as for now not part of known her range..

I know the vocal range of almost all the singers I like! I guess you could classify me as a "vocal range fetishist" too lol.. Lana's known range would be 3 octaves and 2 notes because the high she does in Cola is a C#6 and I don't think she's a soprano, her voice sounds too dark in the lower range and can a soprano go that low anyway O.o ?
