  1. Quelle Rox This song is so dreamy and sad, love it. xo
  2. That being said I listen to chemtrails somewhat frequently, in the right mood, the stripped back vibe works. Sometimes it feels it’s missing something.
  3. Chemtrails would have sounded so cool as a more 70s psychedelic folk inspired album, it’s a true shame. Imagine if it was sonically similar to George Harrison’s All Things Must Pass album, the religious imagery could have been truly elevated by music like this. Still, I can’t get over those vocals on Yosemite.
  4. The original For Free by Joni Mitchell is so wonderful. I love Lana but she sucked the magic out of that song.
  5. Songs that are rich with lyricism or not, I think Lana is the type of artist that really needs to live her songs. Maybe she’s just enjoying life, taking a creative break but one that is nourishing enough to come back when she’s ready and hit us with her best album ever. Lana has had her fair share of difficulties, and her music has always remained pioneering. Now that she has some stability and peace in her life, just imagine the magic she will create! Just be patient guys. I know it’s hard but trust the process.
  6. seeing people on here say “it’s finally happening”…. meanwhile nothing happens

  8. Wedding invites with pictures of only Lana.. so c*nty
  9. Dear god my worst nightmare has come true
  10. Please no more Tough remixes I don’t even want Tough on the album… it semi slapped for a moment then it got boring. Now it just irritates me when it comes on shuffle lol
  11. I think you’re missing my point but that’s okay. I don’t need to go on about how amazing I think Lana is because other wise I wouldn’t be on Lanaboards. But we’re entitled to our opinions, country and folk happen to be one of my favourite genres but most country before the 80s, in my opinion, just doesn’t hit the same. I guess it’s a bygone era. A lot of it is good, but the stuff in the mainstream is way too jaunty and weird for my liking. Don’t need anymore stomp clap songs about whiskey. And just to add, I am excited for Lasso if it’s coming. I’d love to see Lana’s take on country. I just think it’s going to be a more lighthearted, fun album, than some world changing magnum opus.
  12. Never said she couldn’t do it… just saying she might not be trying to.
  13. I don’t even think it’s going be that much of a groundbreaking album, I think this is Lana relaxing a bit and just making music for the joy of it. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’ll be great and on par with the standard she has set, but still… it’s just country lol and I don’t really like modern country. I think what Antonoff was saying about it being “bombastic” was probably just blowing smoke up it for attention. You can’t forget these celebs will be making money simply from people being interested in an upcoming album… they can delay this as much as they want. They have the money.
  14. Yes finally, someone is making sense.
  15. it’s as dry as the mojave out here
  16. True, I just don’t see any benefit of caring about it though? She’s basically a stranger to all of us! She chooses what she puts out to us, most likely in a relatively calculated manner. Who we think she is, may not reflect reality. I love Lana so much, and have done since she released BTD, but we can’t let ourselves delve too deeply into these slightly obsessive/parasocial thought patterns about her, her life, and what she is doing. That being said, I am not saying don’t speak out or don’t criticise her for making these decisions, dating a right wing individual goes against all my personal values and it is somewhat a dilemma, but one that doesn’t deserve that much brain energy. Just don’t deep it too much. Just to note, and to explain what I meant here, I don’t doubt she is authentic, but as all humans do, we don’t share every detail about our lives to people. And I highly doubt she would want to do that to the millions of people obsessed with her.
  17. reading through this thread and all I can say is some comments being made are actually deranged, why do you care so much about what Lana chooses to do with her body. She sells music, not herself. Even if she aligns her personal experience with her artistic expression and output, it is not an excuse to talk about her like she is this mythical object who can do no wrong. She’s a human being who makes mistakes, yes. But she’s clearly someone with a good head on her shoulders and can protect herself. She is nearly 40 guys she can handle her own shit, let her be.
  18. It could have just been a brief demo they made anyway, who’s to say she actually finalised it. I think it has potential, but based off the snippet she shared it’s mediocre at best.
  19. Like… just imagine, new orleans esque jazz bands
  20. Something different, I really want Lana to do a proper jazz album. Like she always says she’s a jazz singer at the core. I need something reminiscent of Frank by Amy Winehouse. That blue skies was a tease because it was good enough to listen to, but left me wanting more. A girl can only dream..
  21. Agreed, there will probably be more structured full bodied songs with maybe a more simple rhyming pattern. The lyrics will still slap!
  22. Lana has this amazing ability to fuse so many elements into her music, so who knows
  23. White dress is so underrated. Her vocals remind me of a softer Janis Joplin. She sings similarly in the other version she did of summertime.
  24. Lasso might even have some Spanish influence. I’m imagining hauntingly beautiful guitar plucks a bit like in La Llorona by Joan Baez.
