Ultraviolence - Pre-Release Thread
Sitar replied to lflflflflflflflflflf's topic in Retired Pre-Release Threads
I am only familiar with The Black Keys so I keep trying and failing to match up their sounds, I'm gonna go check his actual production work apart from the band -
Actually not that smart So "Dater kun kriminelle" and "Abstinenser" were anonymously tipped to me on my tumblr under the name "BROR", which appears to be the members of Mor but more hip-hop influenced? (Hence these songs appearing in the Mor album.) And BROR has their own Facebook, with very few posts but including a link to this soundcloud. Sure enough I saw that the description listed her as a member, and then she ended up being the vocalist! I pretty much screamed. OMG who already changed the pictures smfh You can usually go into iTunes and copy/paste it from the cover section into paint or something? An updated night versions link, it's only Dark Night at this point of course: http://www66.zippyshare.com/v/68311112/file.html

Are y'all prepared for my masterpost finally? She's ready! Check it out over here: http://m-o-slash.tumblr.com/masterpost And like and reblog it here: http://m-o-slash.tumblr.com/post/77148598432/m-masterpost-demos-side-projects-and-pre It's compiled all of the found tracks so far, from side projects to features to instrumentals. And I'm really excited to present a new find... MØ had another side-project in 2012! It's trip-hop and very in line with her current sound so even if you skip her Danish tracks or her lewd moments, these should suit you! There are three songs under the name "We All Came to Kill" and they're all available on this soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/we-all-came-to-kill Stitches in particular is amazing: Hope the MØ community can keep up the generosity! Sorry if I forget to @ anyone who wanted this @@Velvet Elvis @@Baby V Alex @@trayertrash

Oh man this slays I've been in contact with Mor's label and apparently their debut EP (including FIDF) sold out, but they have some for Vanvidstimer. Which reminds me, they haven't replied in a hot minute so I need to follow up on that... But that one's supposed to come with a poster and stuff!

The Rural Edition, i.e. tracks from Lana Del Ray imposed with nature sounds by @@Rafael. Like Kill Kill + waves, Pawn Shop Blues + birds chirping. Not official or anything you're missing but I adore it.

I'm not hurting over it, I just wish it incorporated foil someone for the physical editions. The Bikini Daze vinyl is really display worthy with that gold foil and with the placeholder cover we might have gotten something similar. However I did fully expect grayscale. But jeeez the Bikini Daze cover is so good idgi Also I know someone, somehow ripped Lorde's Spotify EP so I would die if someone could do that for this MØ EP

It should be in the rarities download in the OP.

Wow I'm blown away at all the feedback u guys I just noticed that my volumes, even with the additional one right in the middle, look like a gradient or something from light to dark. Coooool.
-
As promised, with the leak of "Behind Closed Doors", I've added a new volume to my collection to tame some of the longer compilations. I'm pretty pleased with the results, though it's weird to get used to. But it gives me an excuse to listen to Lana nonstop to get into it. Not to disappoint, but I did not make that hip-hop volume. It just would have been too short and basically only shortened two volumes, leaving "Black Leather Moonlight" unruly. So here's what I came up with... For some perspective, here's what my library now looks like. I'm waiting to integrate the Black Beauty EP into my unreleased collections, at least until the Ultraviolence tracklist confirms none of these will be going into an "Ultraviolence: Demos" album. But I made Summer Wine and Chelsea Hotel No. 2 their own singles, leaving only the five Nowels leaks in that EP. And now the tracklists! My fav volume is the same as ever. Consisting of Lizzy tracks from 2006-2009. The new and improved volume 2 focuses heavily on cutesy love songs, mostly pop with a brief foray into organic sounds from BTTB-OOW. Butterflies kinda sticks out but I can't separate it from Butterflies Part 2...In the future, should Hollywood not make it to Ultraviolence, it would be a good pre-Butterflies track. Volume 3! The new one! A working title, since this lyric doesn't come from any of these songs. Basically this is sassy, aggressive, often rock-inspired Lana. Feedback on this please! Volume 4 is now my sadcore volume. Without COTBR, VC, and TOSTB, it is a lot more melancholy. I like it. Volume 5 isn't just Lana doing pop, it's Lana pretty much going way leftfield into mainstream/hip-hop territory. I guess. It fits shut up Volume 6 remains, though I'm contemplating splitting it up between laptop demos with instrumentals and a cappellas (old screenshot, name isn't changed) Please tell me what you think!

wtf the first one doesn't even have vocals the second one doesn't sound like her at all third is...passable?

Sitar replied to Sitar's topic in New Releases
Do you mean TWO News vs. Discussion it's not hard We aren't talking about Edward Gallegos' ass or Emile Haynie debates here, we're talking about the release date news Like would you want single news/tracklist lost in the discussion thread? Same diff -

So dark it's almost unlistenable: Noir and Little Carmen Mix that with its supposed beauty and I think we shouldn't expect Noir's screams but still some of the same daring approach, except in a studio setting with Emile's lushness. All I truly need from this description are layered harmonies. I can't imagine it not being about her past again. Exploring the darker moments she's only touched on in her Lizzy Grant days, I hope. -
Taking You There is understated and beautiful and Weak Spot is like 90s whisper R&B sung by a killer child, how can you get better? Not me being the only one to buy their EP...$4 you guys.

Slay my life real quick at 9 AM MØ! Free download too.

Same case with "Weak Spot" again... So you like good artists but just don't recognize their best songs
