That's the part where you release the updated version so that it can actually be impressive

This was in people magazine and I think it's a good summary of her whole vintage decade-crossing thing: "With a glamour that is equal parts sixties retro, seventies DIY, eighties vamp, and nineties hip-hop, Lana Del Rey has etc etc etc."
-
Ooh her hair's getting lighter.

This thread in particular is something special.

Indeed it must be. Although there is a deluxe edition. They've performed Despair, Mosquito, Earth, and Subway live, released that snippet of the probable title Always, and only discussed Nitrous Batcave. I've only listened to Mosquito and the Always teaser to maintain some mystery

Wow I love you I guess that means Oh Say Can You See should be later in the album I think you literally are the only person of that opinion It's so ~kitsch

I've never found the album eclectic and I always hear people say that Like Born to Die is more cohesive or something but I think the only sore thumb sound-wise on AKA is Brite Lites. Let me copy-paste my old post since I'm at school and can't post the cover I use. So much improvement in just a font. The yellow is a matter of taste but idk it reminds me of the desert, which is the main environment in mind when I think of the album. Nevada, u noe?

It's like at least use the right hair color. She's been dark since before Paradise and that's the album cover for that and unless the Dark Paradise video is super old she'll still have dark hair.

PLEASE DIE. DROVE ME WILD I COULDN'T BE YOUR FRIEND I RUN EMPTY GOODBYE GOODBYE I WAS A FOOL Okay I think Tegan is on top of her game but the Sara songs don't blow me away. Although the only one I don't really like is "Now I'm All Messed Up". "Drove Me Wild" makes everything forgivable, though.

Nah man that shit is languid and contemplative. Took me a long time to really love it but given the right fan-art and font I think it's very fitting. Her expression just tells me a story, start to finish. Looking at the image while listening to the "mmm"s in Kill Kill...I also think the color scheme is great because of its simple, organic sound. It's interesting what you say about it being "bland", though, because I think that's what I like. AKA isn't a bland album, but it's something close--in a positive way? Like, relaxed? On the topic of covers, Born to Die has to be one of my favorite covers ever. I remember I went to her website when I was first getting into her, just before the album came out, and I saw that image so simple and iconic Like it's a bright album. The blue sky fits for some reason I'm unsure of due to the depressing content. I wonder if she'll always stick to that format--looking hot and sullen in the middle of the image, LANA DEL REY above her and the title below her. I want a reprisal of her logo I like this convo

I want dat Okay I bought Frightened Rabbit's new album Pedestrian Verse and it's gotten really good reviews so I'm stoked. Also the 10-year anniversary edition of Your Favorite Weapon by Brand New even though it's their shittiest album because it came with demos and a new cover that I liked.
