If anything, i really hear "photon daddy" and "full-time baby". To be honest, it's probably full-time but I'm attached to photon. When you Wikipedia it, it says it's "bosonic"--so maybe posting that article on the God Particle was her alluding to future tunes Lady Gaga-style.

I think it also is "I have got a war in my mind"

You're very right, that's the result of one typo and then me copy-pasting any further verses.

  2. So that interview has some lyrical ideas for Burning Desire.

"you ask me where I've been, I've been everywhere"

    Good point!

Today, I will try to add Burning Desire, Ride, Every Man Has His Wish, and the relationship between Jimmy Gnecco and Reeve Carney. Would you guys agree that she left Reeve for Jimmy, or the other way around? Consider Reeve's song "Lavender", potentially about her, basically referring to some woman as a traitor.

  3. i'm DYINGNFGGNGGGGGGGG

Ok. I have been trying to purchase Ride and fucking Burning Desire from iTunes BUT MY APPLE ID (AND EVERYONE I'M CLOSE TO'S APPLE IDS) IS AMERICAN AND THEY WILL. NOT. LET. ME.

    so I keep tryyyyyyyyyyyn

    ride reference already

    omg.

    how.

    :defeated:

    We wait :oprah:

    It's hot.

It has some honest to god sex appeal, whereas before any sexiness in her music was sort of offbeat (Mermaid Motel, Yayo).

  4. I wasn't sure if it's "Well, you lied" or "Were you lying?" Also:

I was born so bad I'd naturally [ride/write?]

You would drop by in a Chevrolet

And what the fuck kind of milkshake is that? Phonetically, it sounds like Plass-o-bite.

I hear "lying" more than "lied", good catch.

You helped me figure out that it's:

I was born so bad, not naturally right

    High-five, evil

Generally I trust your judgment, but I implore you to listen to it with your speakers as loud as they'll go. I'm pretty confident it's "drive".

I definitely hear a "P" in the milkshake bit...We need Neal/Dale in here!

  5. Pre-order tracklists are subject to change before the official release. It'll just be removed when the album comes out. Kind of like a pre-order bonus track. I like it enough to where I think it's worthy of such a title, as was the acoustic version of Madonna's Love Spent. If you pre-ordered it soon enough, it came with the album when it released. Burning Desire is a promo single though, so it's being sold now and visible on the track listing, but will be removed for the release. Make sense? :)

Still not being sold in America *grumblegrumblegrumble*

  6. I fucking love this line.

    New sig tbh :teehee:

Make yours cat-related accordingly if you like :teehee:

    Here's my theory:

Okay. Back in 2009, at the same time they recorded "Heavy Hitter," Lana worked on a very rough demo of a song tentatively called "Hawaiian Tropic." However, they never finished it, and she took some ideas and lyrical themes from that unfinished track and instead used them in conjunction with her old demo "1949," and came out with THIS MASTERPIECE. It's like the happy sister song to the slow version of "Hundred Dollar Bill," and hey! Look at the RUBY TUESDAY reference. Hmmmmmm?

Hearing nothing about a Hawaiian Tropic in this. Why do you assume that?

  7. I could cry, I love this song.

    You can whistle for it

Baby, you’ll never grow old in my eyes

With your golden grill, true love never dies

You wanna watch me while I watch TV

    While you’re t-t-t-t-touchin’ me

    We’re forever young in paradise

As long as we got the Chevrolet, I will ride

    We’re gonna party like it’s 1949

We’re in that Chevrolet from July to July

Gonna see it all before he says goodbye

Every man deserves to see the sunrise

    Every man gets his wish

    Every man gets his wish

    You told me this

    Where is mine?

You said I’d never make it out of here alive

At the rate I was going, I’d be lucky to die

I was born so bad, not naturally right

The brightest star on Hollywood and Vine

We’re gonna party like we’re running out of time

Getting drunk and driving fast on cherry wine

Never do belong to anyone I find

Leaving everything I ever knew behind

    Every man gets his wish

    Every man gets his wish

    You told me this

    Where is mine?

    Every man gets his wish

    Every man gets his wish

    Promised me this

    Were you lying?

I learned how to make love from the movies

He found me waitressing at Ruby Tuesday’s

He said, “I wanna buy you up, plus a/a classic white milkshake.”

I said, “I’ll serve you up a special side of heartbreak.”

    Special side of heartbreak.

I was working down in the corner café

You would drive by in the Chevrolet

Whistle at me as my hips go sway

“Lana Del Rey, how you get that way?”

    How you get that way?

I said, he loves my heart-shaped sunglasses

He loves the heart shape my ass is

    Cristal, crystal champagne glasses

    Every man gets his wish

    Every man gets his wish

    You told me this

    Where is mine?

    Every man gets his wish

    Every man gets his wish

    Promised me this

    Were you lying?

  8. One last thing, I think 'Get Drunk' is about Reeve and Jimmy. They were good friends, have videos performing together, and Lana has been linked to both. Plus, Jimmy and Lana (allegedly) met in AA. Although, I don't know the timelines so I could be 1000% wrong.

Whoa! How have I missed that? That's one-hundred percent nuts and affects everything!

As for cocaine, I mean that seems a little drastic but not totally insane. I just jump to alcohol because that's what she's talked about having the most trouble with. On her old twitter she posted a few things about how she thought about it all the time.

  9. Also, another thought I've seen people talking about... Ride's lyric "war in my mind" being about Bradley Soileau- he has a similar tattoo on his forehead. I think this is very possible- it sounds like Lana is fighting to stay 'clean' and it was rumored that she began drinking again right when she (allegedly) had the fling with Bradley (I feel like this is confirmed, but some people need concrete sources so whateva) and he brought her back into the night scene and all the bad things.. there was also a picture of them surrounded by alcohol. Also, it could help explain his mean tweets to her. (to Jeffrey Star, my a**) Getting the same vibe from God + Angels, Monsters..whatever it's called. Trying to stay good (sober) in a world where your vices are easily accessed

Yasss, the greatness of this post!. Lanalyzing (whoo coinage!) might be hard going into this era because of potential new relationships. That's a good theory, though. I wouldn't be surprised if it involved her alcoholism. Can't wait for the interviews for this album talking about the details of new material.

And also why she resurrected a 6/7 year old song :teehee:

  10. Can someone explain to me the logic behind releasing an album just a day earlier in a certain country/continent/area of the world than in another? I don't quite understand it. Is it just a "thank you for the support" or is there an actual marketing/logistics/sales reasoning behind it?

I think it's simply that UK always releases music on Monday and US on Tuesday...

I want that boxset so bad, my birthday isn't too long after.
