exactly. i think butterfly is a really cute, fun song that fulfills it’s purpose of being a simple and uplifting anthem. imo it is still very marina, and the outro is gorgeous. unfortunately people in my eyes are just very upset/can’t admit to the fact that they outgrew her and/or can’t stop holding her to the standards of their adolescent nostalgia. the marina hate is tired, let this woman live
