butterfly fared well with the general public from the looks of it. i’ve noticed those who’d disliked it were only longtime fans who evidently expected much “more” from her. everyone else seemed to enjoy it. i assume Cupid’s Girl will be the same this time around, though there will be less who disliked it and more who enjoyed it judging from the small sample size that is this thread, lol. personally though, judging from the leaked snippet, Princess of Power might be the fan favorite amongst the three singles.

i’m dying for more new music. what i’ve noticed though is butterfly got very tired quick but cupid’s girl i can see being a little more timeless… definitely have been playing it a lot more than butterfly on a day-to-day basis and will continue doing so. i can also see butterfly being the fan least favorite off POP Princess of Power’s title track will be released next month alongside the album announcement slated for a june release

despite shaking in my boots when ADIAML was revealed… now i’m just thinking what a slay it would’ve been had she had all the tracks dealing with that post-modern existential dread/ancient history thing she was going for in the title track + them having a similar sound to it… i might be the only one here but listening to ADIAML the sound and visuals gave me such a distinct feeling of the apocalypse or of a looming catastrophe. like impending doom almost with humanity that also coincides with ancient history. (for example, 0:05 - 0:21 of ADIAML; 2:00 - 2:04 of VFT) the shots of Petra, the exotic nature landscapes, the psychic and psychedelic visuals… that paired with her retrofuturistic outfits and hair… she really was doing something and it only took me 4 years to really appreciate it i just wish she took it a step further and really impelented it. it could’ve been such an amazing concept album with those apocalyptic soundscapes taking up half of the album with the ballads taking up the rest it was really disgruntled this might have just been word vomit of vibes that i felt back then which probably doesn’t make sense to others buttttt Merna is taking it this time
