But it's this illusion which makes her so interesting. And let's be honest: how boring would life be if there weren't any illusions?
-
The point is that anyone could come up with a few vague conspiracy theories on Lana's past or personal life. She is intentionally marketed as an enigmatic and mysterious figure. Alone the fact that there is a fan base and a forum dedicated to her mystery proves how efficiently this strategy is working out. But the sad thing is that this creates enough space for a couple of idiots to come up with such things. She's not even half as mysterious as she's presented. In fact, she's pretty easy-going and candid in interviews. Yet, people speculate there might be a dark and wild side to her.

I'm afraid she'll yell at me when I criticize her. You know, my cousin Lola was punished for telling her mom that she's too old to wear hot pants and had to work in the wardrobe department of her tour. All summer long.

This is so ridiculous. Lana... is actually more than 29 years old spent a year in prison for assaulting the bitch who allegedly stole her "husband" and got billed out by her father has been married to certain "Kenneth" who spent time on death row due to murder is a former part-time prostitute has had an abortion was inspired to dedicate various songs to her "husband" who hang himself in death row is now clean after years of drug abuse has had plastic surgery after being released from prison is having regular contact with the person that leaks all this information and appears to be a close friend of his/her/it Hold on, my aunt Madonna is calling me on my phone to wish me a happy birthday. I'll be back in a few minutes...

I find those hackers hiding behind computer screens and enjoying a slight degree of temporary internet fame whenever they leaks songs or information kind of pathetic, to be honest.

DUKE replied to DarkParadise's topic in New Releases
It's a shame they didn't include all singles. :sarcastic: -

Honestly, I don't find that to be funny or close to be slightly humorous.

Matt, I am convinced that - if look at reincarnation from a surrealist's point of view - you will be reincarnating as a film. That's for sure.
-
I really don't expect her to pull off a big American show production with big screens, dancers and endless costume changes (Can you imagine that for real? ) but I want at least a 90+ minute show and a nice stage. Even if it's just a bigger version of the stage she used for the US and Australian shows of the Born to Die Tour - I'm totally fine with that.
-
For 50€ per tickets I do expect her to deliver. And by that I mean more than only 12 songs and a nice stage set-up.

"The Singles" to be released in France (10/12/2012)

I would have bought it if it had the complete set of singles in picture sleeves, but it hasn't. -
I know, but doesn't this one base on the adapted novel by Steven King? I haven't seen this version yet. Is it good?

Hold on, if the concert partially broadcasted by Chérie FM was actually recorded by Triple J, as someone said before, this must be the recording from Splendor In the Grass 2012. She performed the usual Australian set at this show. http://soundcloud.com/lanadelreybrasil/sets/lana-del-rey-live-at-splendour But this recordings sounds incredibly overloaded... as it did yesterday.
-
Well, the material exists but they broadcasted five songs from the show only.

Paradise - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll
DUKE replied to HeartshapedChevrolet's topic in Post-Release Threads
Yes but shhh... -
No, they didn't play "Summertime Sadness." Unless we really heard a different broadcast.
-
Apparently not... I can confirm the setlist Quentin posted...
-
That was a fucking joke. Five songs from the show?
-
She didn't play this one at any of the Sydney shows.
-
Great, I'm having a two second interruption of absolute silence on the recording now...
-
So, it's definitely taken from one of the Sydney theatre shows. And... they are playing the last half first...
-
What did they do with the setlist? First "Without You" then "Million Dollar Man." They're not broadcasting the show with its original setlist, apparently.
-
I hope they didn't twist the songs or so...
