Was Sweat ever even officially “finished”? It sounded like something they were still working on when she did that Pandora ad & performance. Even the press release made it seem like they were still working on it lol.

Oh thats a good point i didn't even think about that, maybe he sees the album with each track as a vehicle "crash"ing into you. I still feel like it could be for Taxi though, but maybe I'm delusional. That comment from her where she calmly and casually said she was working on it is just sticking with me.

I guess the final/stems mix "leaked" but like we never got a released version so who knows if they might touch up vocals + add backing in parts. kinda how the 3 crash demos that leaked sounded done but the released versions were slightly. different.

I was listening to it today (i have a playlist of her whole released discog, xcx word, and my fav unreleased and will be listening all week) and thinking about how well it would fit on crash and how insane the writing is on that song like they both really tapped into something that day in the studio, its truly one of the few prefect pop songs (considering its an unfinished demo). that would be great for her honestly. What Atlantic has been doing with her since 2018 has been great, my only complaint is i miss all her 2017 features.

It would be one thing if she were posting it herself, but something about him posting that makes me feel like he's involved and theyre trying to finish it or get it cleared, hence why the deluxe is "still being finished".

AG literally just posted an instagram saying "more vehicles to come" after she specifically mentioned how she would love it to come out someday and is working on it. it's not out of the park for someone to infer that maybe Taxi is part of Crash deluxe like please take a deep breath just because sophie has passed and its her song doesn't make it impossible to release. whoever is handling her estate would be able to okay it.

because shes banking on physical sales, which are pre orders and will most likely not be affected by the leak. Her label knows that while she doesn't do big streaming numbers, her fans will buy physicals of the album. hence why the release date was in mid-March and they keep doing those albums + music vid poster bundles. its actually really smart. imo, he’s cute but not hot?

It's not that i don't believe her, its that I just dont trust that it will actually come to fruition. Like if its not done that means the label could still stop its release at basically the drop of a hat.

So no deluxe? If we don't get it this week, I doubt we will get it at all tbh, she does something like this each era

I thought the blind item was confusing her for rita ora? but either way we still dont really know she cheated on him the second time, especially because Every Time was written pre-COVID and is most about cheating with Huck, especially because he's known in the kinda Dimes-ish area and she mentions meeting on Bowery in the song, which was right before lockdown when he flew out to LA to be with her. I defs like it more in the context of the album. I think the rina feature is a little clunky though. not that she did a bad job but more that the songs not big enough for two people.

Oh okay thats what you meant. Technically it would depend on her contract if she would have to buy back the songs from the label. This also probably wouldn't be an issue if she signed with another WMG label like Warner, which is under the same corporate umbrella as Atlantic.

I personally consider them mixtapes because we really never got "official" singles/videos/tours for them. For all intents and purposes, they are albums and i consume them in the same why as an album, but I feel like they really dont have defined "eras" to them, despite having an aesthetic. Also calling them the "mixtapes" just feels kinda normal to me since we got them both in such a short amount of time, they feel like a pair, and thats originally what she sold the idea for N1A to us as (even if it was to convince her label to let her release something). I honestly dont really think it matters what people call them but thats also just my opinion.
