So I'm not sure about the environmental impact of them as ive heard conflicting things recently about blockchain's actual environmental impact (i guess it depends on the service you use to "mint" it into the blockchain), but honestly I think its a stupid thing to "cancel" artists for, basically it would exist regardless of them (hence the company approaching the artists with the pitch) and like its very easy (right now) to just not buy it. I doubt she will be releasing music/videos as NFTs its probably going to just be like an image (i have no knowledge of what she's doing tho to be clear, im just guessing based on other artists).

No shade to Rina but I like Beg for You a lot more as a solo song in the SNL performance.

One thing about artists doing NFTs seems to be that these companies are approaching the artist and offering them a pretty big amount of money to "collaborate". Charli said in her Rolling Stone interview that she signed onto that NFT festival because she was going to use the money to fund production for her tour, so what I will say is that if Sky actually does announce an NFT "venture", maybe don't drag her because im assuming Capitol isn't handing over money to her to fund music/videos/tours

all i know is that at least one song is coming this month and this came from mouth of one of the producers (who is also a past producer of hers).

I want her to write with Madison Love more, she's done so my great co-writes + You For Me & Lighting are amazing.

Not to be annoying and keep repeating myself but god is Baby is a good song. It's suuuuuch a moment like I'm so proud of my girl for stepping out basically 10+ years into her public major label career looking better than ever and smashing it out of the park. Even if the album doesn't do well I'm so happy she's pushing herself out of her comfort zone to give us something really iconic.

sorry to pull one line but I agree with this so much. I love Charli and AG, like HIFN is a masterpiece, but I think what was so cool about HIFN and what it really got right is that the collaborations were with producers, rather than other singer/songwriters. I think bringing in other producers makes them both incredible because they're both such creatives that it really seems like it inspires them to push themself in that song, and then also further on other songs. I think something i liked the least about s/t was that it felt a little too pc music, something i love about HIFN and the snippets we've heard of the 3(?) confirmed AG songs is that they really shifted into not just charli pushing herself but AG also really seeing how weird he can be while still fitting in a neater "pop" realm. and I also just want to second that I am like so excited for this album like i miss album campaign/rollouts like this, we weren't getting them during the height of the pandemic

like its suuuuuuch a moment it sounds like nothing that's out right now and the video is so fun to see her do a full choreo moment while still keeping the visual 80's, its very female-American Gigolo. Instantly one of her best videos imo

So Every Rule is the OPN track right? the crash collaborator list on the press release is chronological and it says "Justin Raisen, Ariel Rechtshaid, Ilya, Oneohtrix Point Never, Jon Shave (of the invisible men)", and the tracklist is is 7) Baby (Justin Raisen), 8) Lighting (Ariel & Ilya), 9) Every Rule (OPN), 10) Yuck (Jon Shave)?

im so excited for Baby and the rest of the Crash era. I know she loves she loves collabs but i love solo charli so much more, i loved how much we got to hear of her on HIFN and im happy that everything new from here on out (besides maybe a remix which is fine) will be just her.

im happy it wasn't as tragic as it could have been, and im happy that they left some major stuff unaddressed rather than trying to sloppily wrap it up for the finale
