I've been thinking about her cover of The Killing Moon a lot recently, and how sad I am that we don't have the studio version.
  2. Oh yeah definitely, that's totally normal. I think Bonnie McKee sings backing vocals on every song she's ever sold to major artists lol. Layering someone else's backing vocals with the artist's lead vocal isn't necessarily done because the lead artist isn't capable of singing it. It actually gives the song a lot more depth and sounds more "full" if that makes sense.
  3. I agree. It's a good album but I've never thought of it as a concept album. That's really weird that she considers it one.

Verse 1: Blew a kiss with a shotgun Then I swallowed your pills straight down down down Get it out it's coming undone But we can't let it die we drown drown drown This is the final time Got to give up 'cause it's over This is so over Looking out it's a car crash Yeah I'm gonna take off over and out Chorus: We're making a mess here together We drilled a hole in the roof Because of the misunderstanding Never been further from you We're bringing out horses and lasers We act like we're sniffing glue So sick of the stranger within me Sick of the stranger in you We're making a mess We're making a mess We're making a mess We're making a mess Verse 2: Burn a hole in the paper But we can't let our fire start to spread 'Cause we're out of our bodies Might as well start sleeping with the dead This is the final time Got to give up 'cause it's over This is so over Put your hands on your mouth boy 'Cause I'm blocking out all those words you said Bridge: Let's make a mess here together Let's drill a hole in the roof I'm loving this misunderstanding Never been further from you Let's bring out the horses and lasers Let's act like we're sniffing glue So sick of the stranger within me Sick of the stranger in you

Undoubtedly, Mess would be my favorite Charli song if we could just get the studio version already. She must be so annoyed with how much I've pestered her about it for the last 4 years. I must have tweeted her to leak it at least 500 times now lol.

    1. How Can I (Demo) 2. Feel My Pain (Demo) 3. Stay Away 4. Doing It 5. Nuclear Seasons I prefer the Feel My Pain demo over the album version because I've just always thought the production in the final was so underwhelming. But that's probably just because I had the demo first so I was so used to it. ***I'm talking about THIS DEMO not that other shitty one. And I hate what Ariel did to the final version of How Can I. The synth sounds like an emergency elevator warning and that glass shattering sound throughout the chorus is so ugly.
  8. Perfume is the only song on the entire album that Myah didn't provide vocals for, and that's because they used Sia's lol. Honestly I don't really get it, because Britney's vocals on Perfume are actually good. I mean obviously she isn't the best vocalist, but she doesn't sound bad at all. So I don't necessarily think they used a lot of Myah's vocals on the album because Britney's weren't good enough, I think it was more of a timing issue. I think they wanted to rush the album and Britney didn't have a lot of time in the studio. It's really sad and I feel bad for Britney because she definitely didn't have anything to do with that. What's REALLY sad is the fact that 90% of Chilling with You is Myah, and that's supposed to be a 'personal' song between Britney and Jamie Lynn. I feel like Jamie Lynn had more time in the studio for this album than Britney did lol. However since the major backlash and controversy that followed the album's release, I don't think they'll ever attempt doing it again. We can expect Britney from now on! Side note: Britney Jean wasn't the first revelation of this issue. After Cathy Dennis' Toxic demo leaked, a lot of people realized that most of the chorus is her singing and not Britney. But obviously that's nothing compared to almost an entire album being faked.
  9. Can't imagine that they would upload an unmastered version of the EP to a publishing website. I think if anything they might add on a song or two. I'm sure they have more they were saving for the album. We shall see.
  10. All I have to say is- "Maybe she really does play 8 instruments, maybe she plays 30 instruments... maybe the girl counts the triangle, I don't know. I mean, I could probably play a killer gong... and I can play the fuck out of recorder you guys."
  11. Does anyone have the Diamond Days instrumental? Both that and the Mr. Watson instrumental had been uploaded to UMG until last night. Mr. Watson leaked but Diamond Days didn't.
  12. It's called 'Garoa Hacker Clube' http://www.dafont.com/garoa-hacker-clube.font?text=diamond+days
  13. Threw this together for the time being. I really like the EP. Diamond Days is still my favorite though.

You're welcome. Lol Lovesick is the only song from that album that they didn't write. HR bought the demo of it and had them record it for the album, but since they never released it the demo was still able to be bought, and it was bought for that woman on The Voice that season. I think Xtina found the demo for her.

Edit: Actually, I think both Never Fading and Practical were demos recorded in 2008 for HR1. I was thinking of something else. (No wonder they didn't like the direction they were going in, lol) I'll just post the link here for everyone. https://www.dropbox.com/s/mc54zqnuc0ri6sc/78Violet%20%282009%29.zip?dl=0

Sure thing. Never Fading and Practical were recorded around the same time in either 2010 or 2011 I believe, and they weren't for an album. Just rough demos.

Lol they are almost as bad as Sky. HR2 was self-titled and the tracklist was 1. Say Hello 2. The Good, the Bad, and the Boring 3. The Next Worst Thing 4. Damaged 5. The Edge 6. Civilian 7. Silly Boy 8. Walk Alone Tonight 9. Lovesick 10. Freak 11. Insane 12. Magellan 13. Bullet We have the whole album except for Damaged and Civilian.

Yeah, if she ever does actually release an album I think all the old stuff will be scrapped. They're so old now. She's probably ACTUALLY working on a whole new album now, but who knows when/if we'll get that. Fingers crossed!

    Poppy

"Poppy" is a character that was born in a world of technology. Poppy was raised via the internet and television, and has no sense of reality outside of it. This is why she only references internet trends, memes, iphones, illuminati theories, laundry detergent and cleaning supply advertisements, etc. This is also why she sounds like a television commercial anytime she speaks, why she shows no human emotion, why she was "created" instead of born, and why she doesn't identify with an age. Her real name is Moriah Rose Pereira, and she was born on January 1st, 1995.
  21. Okay whoever said Free was a bad song and the chorus was boring needs mental help. It's my favorite song on the album (along with New Constellations and OctaHate.) Pierre would be a great single choice. Love Ryn so much
  22. All her videos look exactly the same and they're still all amazing. Zella, her power
  23. I have the full Milk and Honey SXSW performance ripped from the live stream if you want that! Took me forever to track down but I finally got my hands on it last week.
  24. Kesha signed my My Crazy Beautiful Life book, and also signed the word 'Animal' so I could get it tattooed. Colette Carr signed my Skitszo CD when I met her. I think that's it.
