Random thought probably just my mind lol but if Lana did have any sort of dismissiveness towards SOTB maybe it’s because she’s had to plan/put her release on hold for it. Like the way she referred to it as “that snow song” could go one way or another but I will say normally she seems a tad more interested/involved when other “collabs” are released. Could be wishful thinking, since I’m ready for the album, but maybe she’s just over it because it impacted her plans/schedule.

Same to both, just want the album and also the book. The book is really saddening to me for her and for us too. I was really anticipating that one. I think it was a different level than Violet. I was and am continue to be super intrigued. I’m really hoping she has physical copies of the poems either hand/type written and she just has to re-edit/format/put the book together. That said it’s still not like it would come out the exact same. Fuck the people who stole her shit.

Same! It had/continues to have great replay value to me so I’m not bothered lol! Also it is not like EVERY song on the album will sound like that even if the record is in the same vein. I personally think people are being a little over dramatic about it.

I honestly think the album is done and wasn’t/will not be as impacted by the theft as it could have been. I’m sure everything was backed up. Both she and Ben have teased the album/music recently which would be after the theft if it were a few months back. I just fucking hate the book and her own personal footage being taken and irreplaceable. Hopefully she had a physical copy of her poems and will just need to reorder/format etc. Regarding album though, I really think they are/were waiting for the right time. I definitely think more will start up now that Taylor has dropped. I’m still expecting single this year and album 1st quarter next year, maybe a tad after. Either way I don’t think we are too far away. It’s already November!

Yes I love it. Lol seeing her in TX so much makes me a little proud as a fellow Texan lol. Maybe it is time for her to transplant lol! Austin and DFW are being hailed as the new LA’s.

Sitting with the album I really enjoy/like it. I’ve had it on repeat on and off. It’s a really nice mix of pop and the sound she explored in Folklore/Evermore as others have said. Yes it has some moments and songs where I’m like mehhh really (cringe) but it also has moments that wow me and pull me in. I don’t know what it is but I feel like a full circle moment for her and it is really endearing to watch and experience. This is my first Taylor album release to follow since her early days so it is just really refreshing and nice to experience. Also her mind/business savvy/performance is just so insane and admirable. People shit on her but she keeps doing what she wants and excelling. Definitely have to respect that.

Meanwhile she is running around Austin living her best life lol. I fucking love it!

Snagged some tickets to see her in Dallas for her tour. Definitely looking forward to it!

Happy to hear the album is great! Definitely excited for my first listen. I’ve loved the whole rollout thus far so anticipate it is going to be amazing. Side note, I bought my album direct for WB sore so guessing that doesn’t count as SubPop order cause it is not showing up in my subpop accnt. Can someone confirm? If that’s the case def bummer as I thought they were connected.

No shade but WCS already so overrated. The Great War, Bigger Than The Whole Sky, and Dear Reader top 3 for 3am tracks. I really like the standard edition though. It’s a lot better than I expected. I’d say it lost a little oomph after Vigilante but still a solid release. I’ll need more time to pick faves but initial standouts Lavender, Maroon, Anti, and Midnight. All the tracks are cute in their own way though.

I’m having my 1st listen and it isn’t as bad as I anticipated. While the Lana feature was disappointing when it came to Lana the album itself is a pleasant surprise. I’m low key enjoying it. I agree the aesthetic doesn’t necessarily match but it’s a nice little pop refresher. I really don’t dislike any song so far. I’ve made it through Vigilante as of now.

Lana’s voice is barely even audible lol. Like this is a joke. I’m glad she has a writing credit though, that’s cool. That said though this feature is one of her worst! It’s not a bad song but I expected a FEATURE lol.

Makes sense. Title leads to ballad which that wouldn’t have been in line with the description. While it reads as ballad it could be different. Idk from the title I’m feeling vibe of champagne problems or seven which I really enjoy both. Being people are feeling 70’s soft rock vibes I’d say maybe they could do something ala The Greatest which would be amazing too. That said I’m trying to go in with no or low expectations. Just very intrigued to see what they have put together, how it is received, and the affects/impacts it may have for each of them. afterthought maybe even August lol.That could just be because I’m listening to folklore/evermore right now though. Side note I haven’t really be that into Taylor since her early days so I didn’t really pay attention to to her recent releases so much but Evermore is a really nice listen.

I am also curious if it is the real single… I don’t know, the info sounds intriguing but I don’t want to get hyped up and it not be accurate lol. I know this person called the collab and it’s track number but do we have any other confirmation on their credibility? Either way I’m super excited for this. Should be super interesting and it is going to really boost Lana even more than what she has already been doing number wise which is crazy in itself. That talk isn’t relative to this thread though.

I think we will get an early single this year but proper rollout will not begin till 2023. Im hoping to have the album by April. It would be a nice little bday gift! Of course definitely wouldn’t be opposed to all this happening sooner lol but I just don’t see it.

Definitely thinking the Lana promo/info will pick up more once the Tay album/collab is released. I’m sure label would want to use as a marketing/promo opportunity with all the attention it will get. At least they would be dumb not to. Still not expecting an album this year though! Either way I’m excited, hopefully we can start the official pre release lol.

Track is beautiful and everything I’ve been wanting. Chill, introspective, cinematic. Production is flawless. I love it! It is just such a feeling and mood. I snagged the purple loser edition. Love all the variants but the purple hits for me most. Glad to know will be getting the stream link early too, todays a win all around.

I’m also really curious about this album. I really haven’t followed Taylor closely since the original Red album. I’ve been very casual since and haven’t found an album that clicks fully for me. Speak Now is my absolute fave and the one I’m most looking forward to her re-recording. TV Red was very good as well! Anyways point is I haven’t really been an avid Taylor listener for quite a while but I feel some sort of pull or magnetism in regards to Midnights. It has a certain energy about it. I’m very curious! Also no shade at all to Taylor as far as my not listening to her. She’s def one of the most talented and business savvy artists out there. An amazing combo. Just her later releases haven’t connected with me on a personal level like her earlier work had.
